Installation of soft tiles is the best choice for pitched roofs, the slope of which is more than 12 degrees. Roofing shingles can be used both to create a new roof and to reconstruct the old one. In the second case, it is applied over the prepared damaged coating. Installation of soft tiles is suitable for decoration of industrial, public and even residential buildings. In general, such work as installing roofs from soft tiles should be entrusted to specialists. Even having studied everything thoroughly in theory, an inexperienced person is unlikely to be able to do everything quickly and 100% qualitatively. Lining carpet
It is recommended to mount it on the entire roof area. In cases where the roof slope exceeds 1: 3 (18 degrees), you can limit yourself to laying the carpet on cornices, skates, end parts, valleys, in the aisle area, near chimneys, at the points of contact with the walls and near the dormer-windows. Roll the lining carpet in parallel or at right angles with an overlap of more than 10 cm. The carpet should be pulled. As an option - let it lie down. It is attached using roofing nails.
Installation of metal strips
Fronton (end) and cornice strips (they are also called droppers) are mounted on top of the lining material. The overlap is 2 cm. Fixation occurs with the help of nails or self-tapping screws (zigzag, step - 100 mm). On the gable, it is best to install trims that limit the flow of water to the windshield. Planks are mounted in segments on curved cornices and pediments.
End carpet
Located on top of the lining material, it is attached using roofing nails. It is not recommended to glue it over the entire bottom surface. But on the cornice strips the end carpet is fixed with glue.
Installation of tiles
First, the cornice sections are worked out, then the ordinary tiles are installed. After this, you can begin installing soft tiles in the area of the pediment, valley, near chimneys.
