Since relatively recent times, it has become a tradition in our country that every year Russia devotes a certain area or direction. Following the Year of the Family and the Year of Culture, the Year of Literature awaits us, the action plan of which is available for public inspection. External symbolism turned out to be no less significant, because it should reflect key aspects of the importance of this event. The action plan was developed on behalf of the government. First of all, it is aimed at attracting reading Russians, regardless of age and other social characteristics. An important point will also be the emphasis on issues that need to be addressed in the book sphere, and the general incentive of society to read books.
Program features
The organizers have set high goals that need to be achieved, and most importantly - you can. The Year of Literature in Russia aims to unite entire networks of bookselling, publishing, library spheres, a number of industry organizations and local regional authorities.
In addition to each book lover, many schools and educational institutions, libraries and book collections will become participants in the program, and in larger volumes - the Ministry of Culture, State Program Funds, Rospechat.
The federal budget for this year has an impressive figure. Separate targeted grants should help libraries and literary projects in their updating, as well as promising authors taking their first steps in their field. Everyone knows that the Russian language is one of the richest. The developed measures, which will be reflected in the international industry, will emphasize the originality of our literature, which has absorbed centuries of experience.
Emblem of the Year of Literature
As if confirming the above and paying tribute to the great Russian writers who became the founders of the development of the language, a logo was developed and approved specifically for the program. The corporate identity of the literary year 2015 is made in the shades of the national flag familiar to our country. It, as the most striking landmarks, depicts the profiles of Pushkin, Gogol and Akhmatova.
Society problems
In anticipation of the adoption of the program, Vladimir Putin has repeatedly made statements about the need to raise the level of education of modern schoolchildren and students. It is primarily about the Russian language. One of the ways he called the introduction of a mandatory exam in literature. But this is more related to the revision of educational programs, but now the Year of Literature can just increase teenagers' interest in reading.
The action plan includes various literary campaigns, the responsibility for which is vested in almost all libraries in the country. In particular, within their walls, readers will be able to exchange their favorite books for free, get acquainted with the works that are the winners of various awards, take part in the youth flash mob, a series of poetry contests, as well as in separate evenings dedicated to the works of Chekhov, Griboedov, Azimov, Fet, Tvardovsky , Yesenin and other famous writers.

According to the developed phased program, the opening of the Year of Literature in Russia will begin with the launch of an independent Internet resource, where the latest news will be covered. On it, everyone will be able to familiarize themselves in more detail with the list of proposed events of a regional and national character. A pleasant and undoubtedly important feature of the site will be the opportunity to get information about ongoing events in each specific city of the country.
More than 120 events planned. The opening of the Year of Literature will be marked by a ceremony in which several ministries will be involved. One of the first will be the literary forum “Literary Eurasia”.
Throughout the year, a number of thematic projects are planned involving cinematography and the press, educational exhibitions, forums, conferences, festivals, holidays, as well as events dedicated to perpetuating the memory of literary figures.
Various social programs that could not have taken place at any other time will be reflected now - the Year of Literature is called upon to help. In Russia, the following contests will be held within its framework:
- Children's festival "Tale Plastic".
- “The Most Reading Region” is a particularly interesting event in which any subject of Russia can take an active part. As a prize, the winner will be awarded the status of “Literary flagship”.
- Book Festival, where you can get acquainted with publications printed using special technology for visually impaired and blind people.
- Large-scale action of graffiti “On the wall”.
In addition, events include the modernization of the library sector, the holding of Literary balls, a number of other creative holidays, as well as various reforms awaiting the book industry.
Program relevance
In confirmation of the words of the president, who spoke at the Literary meeting two years ago, the Year of Literature was planned. The action plan, which can be tracked on the previously named site, is really voluminous and varied. The objectives are to attract all reading (and not reading especially!) Citizens to Russian literature, the need to make our rich language a powerful engine that allows Russia to exert an ideological influence on the world stage. Increasing the importance of Russian literature, we increase the level of self-education, erudition, good manners. The established Year of Russian literature, which, according to analysts, will find a response among the vast majority of compatriots, acts as a long-term, well-thought-out system of measures.
