For most tourists, including domestic, Thailand is becoming a bright and unforgettable place where you can have a great vacation or winter. Such resort islands as Phuket or Samui are already quite famous all over the world and are in great demand among vacationers. But there are also other, little-known areas where European tourists would be interested in spending time. For example, the second largest island after Koh Phuket, Koh Chang, is a “quiet house” that separates human life from the bustle of bustling cities.
For many visitors, the island of Koh Chang, reviews of which appear on all social networks and on many Internet sites, has become just that outlet where harmony reigns. Mostly couples come to him who need romantic solitude. But they do not lose sight of the island and families with children who will be very interested in visiting this paradise.
Interestingly, a vacation on Koh Chang has become affordable for tourists relatively recently. Basically, all the large hotels and beach areas with a good, flat road began to be built up after 2000. More than ten years have passed since then, and many tourists who visited Koh Chang leave quite ambiguous reviews. Some do not like that too much of the island remains in the bosom of pristine nature, where almost no human foot steps. Indeed, for this reason, the area for vacationers is small. But, on the other hand, for lovers of just this type of holiday the island will be fully open and will remain in their soul for many years.
And it is not true that there is nothing to do in these parts , these words are not supported by anything. The attraction of the local jungle is the waterfalls, alluring with their nature and clear waters. The largest of them is Klong Plu, it reaches a ten-meter mark and is surrounded by magnificent giant trees.
Fishing enthusiasts will not be disappointed by visiting Koh Chang. Reviews of visiting tourists say a lot: “I never got so much pleasure from fishing in the open sea!”. And it is unique in that there are no fishing villages here, and the fish have not yet been transferred to the local waters.
For professional and novice divers, Koh Chang will provide wonderful places with unforgettable underwater beauties. Hundreds of colorful fish, dozens of corals - all this will merge into one melody of endless delight.
Do not worry about the climatic conditions, they are still better than in many regions of Russia. In many respects, the climate of the island depends on winds and currents, and Ko Chang does not provide an opportunity to predict what the weather will be. You can only rely on the sample table that weather forecasters brought up, but in no case can you believe it at 100%. You can verify this only personally, having visited the island.
The coldest time on Koh Chang is considered to be the months from October to March, when the water temperature drops to +25 degrees (in Russia it does not always rise to such a mark), and the air warms up only to +28. March is followed by a really hot summer, with the rise of the thermometer to +36 degrees.
Of course, there are also months when everything rains. This is mainly the period from July to October, the time of the monsoon on Koh Chang. Reviews of tourists who visited the island, however, say that not every September it rains there. That is why it is important to know: at the slightest weather disturbances, weather forecasters in Thailand talk about possible "cold snap" and winds. It’s better to be warned.
It is impossible to consider Koh Chang as one of a kind, but many tourists will surely remember it as a warm and pleasant, calm and affectionate, and at the same time unbridled and mysterious place. And many travelers will certainly want to come here again.
