Sims 4 life simulator is very popular among fans of creating modifications. The functionality allows you to create custom mods and load them into a common game library. You can also find your favorite modifications on the Internet and add them manually to the folder with the installed game. We will figure out how to install clothing sets and other modifications in the Sims 4 in both ways.
Search the game library
Inside the game there is a separate library and gallery with clothes, characters and houses. The game menu in Sims 4 is very convenient - you can easily find the necessary section.
In the upper right corner is the "Open Gallery" icon. You can also get into it by pressing the F4 key. You will see a window with three different tabs, similar to browser ones. The home page contains general information and gallery statistics.
Go to the "Community" tab. All user modifications are collected here, which are selected in various categories. You can also find clothes here. In Sims 4, the gallery features are very convenient - you can filter materials by popularity, reviews, themes and so on.
However, third-party modifications are not presented in this section, so you wonβt be able to find clothes created in a separate graphics editor here. To do this, players download individual mods in package format and install them manually. Let's figure out how to do this.
Manual installation
It is worth noting that the installation of custom modifications is done at your own peril and risk - any objects incompatible with your version of the game can lead to errors, crashes, graphic artifacts, and so on. All modifications are downloaded in packaged package files. You can install them without unpacking directly into the game folder.
All mods are downloaded in zip or rar archives. First, unzip from to any folder on your hard drive. Next, you need to open the folder in which Sims 4 is installed. If you installed the game in the default directory, you can go to the Documents \ Electronic Arts \ The Sims 4 folder. In this directory, find the Mods section and go into it. In this folder, you need to copy the package files.
Alternative option
If you downloaded clothes on the Sims 4 in a different format, then do the following.
Open the Mods folder again in the manner described above. Copy all modifications with clothes to this directory and close it. Now you need to start the game and go to the settings menu. Go to the βOtherβ subsection and check the box next to the βMods for scriptsβ line. After that, restart the game and enjoy the colorful sets of clothes and other mods!
