Many types of activities make up human life in the modern world, and people at the same time enter into one or another relationship in communication. The nature of the relationship may be different, but they are combined into five interrelated spheres of public life.
The main areas of society
- Economic is associated with the production of material goods, their distribution and consumption.
- The social sphere is an area where various interests and needs of the groups of society are realized that form its social structure: ethnic, demographic, family, class and others.
- Political is the relationship between nations, social groups, individuals on issues of state power.
- The spiritual sphere of society is a sphere in which various religious, moral, and artistic needs of people arise and are realized. However, many of the ideas that are created in it are intended for practical application. For example, computer programs and information technologies are created by mental labor, i.e. in the spiritual sphere, however, are consumed in the economy, social sphere, political and others.
- Environmental - the sphere of relations between people by the sign of how they relate to nature. Environmental issues are now considered to be of paramount importance.
The spiritual sphere of society
The diversity of the value world of modern man is quite wide. In addition to the values of everyday life, there are higher ones that are associated with an understanding of the meaning of being, ideals of social structure, and moral standards. The spiritual sphere of society defines ideals that are important for building a system of values.
Every person from the first days of life falls into a certain environment. It is impossible to say that a civilized society is completely spiritless. It just so happens that in some social strata people live a normal spiritual life, which cannot be said about others. Sometimes a person’s life is aimed only at survival, but he simply does not have time for philosophical thoughts, although all this depends on the individuality of each.
The spiritual sphere of society as a professional production of the values of spirituality covers mainly the sphere of philosophical knowledge, in particular, art, ethics and religion. Each of them discusses the problems of society and man in the future, the ideals of the socio-political structure, the relationship between what should be, dreams and the present.
The spiritual products that are created in society are very diverse. It may include philosophical systems, codes of morality (ten commandments in religion, for example), literary utopias, and more. The path to the future is not really predetermined, so you can understand why people talk so much about tomorrow, about spiritual values, about ideals. The spiritual sphere of society lives an invisible but stormy life related to search, finds and disappointments. You can understand the concern of the authorities with all the vicissitudes of spiritual social activity, because the upheavals in the scale of values inevitably cause political and social upheavals, which are fraught with a change in the state system. This is always reflected in the relationship between the spiritual and political sphere of life.
The field of theoretical human activity is also in a difficult relationship with the spiritual sphere.
A special place in the spiritual sphere is occupied by education and ideology, which is necessary for familiarization with the higher spiritual and moral values of members of society. It all depends on the task that political forces in power pose before them.
Thus, the spiritual sphere of society is a system of relations between people. It reflects the spiritual and moral social life represented by culture, science, religion, morality, ideology, and art.
