The museum houses the largest collection of modern and ancient things of national carpet-making on Earth. Here you can find very rare instances of pile wool carpets and other items, the creation of which dates back to the XVIII century. The main exhibit of the museum is the carpet, which is called the Golden Age of the Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashi. This is the largest carpet on the planet: its area is 301 m2, and the weight of the product exceeds one ton. It was woven manually in 2001.

Ashgabat (sights) on its territory placed the main mosque of Turkmenistan, bearing the name of Turkmenbashi Rukha. To more accurately describe the location of the object, it should be said that it is located not in the capital itself, but 15 kilometers from it.
The giant building invariably amazes the human imagination, impresses with its grandeur and beauty. Ashgabat, the sights of the city, in general, have such a feature - as if fascinates tourists with grace and picturesque views. But people who visited the mosque have a strange feeling of despondency from what they saw.
The construction is distinguished by gigantic parameters, and it is completely lined with white marble. One hundred million dollars were spent on the construction of the facility. The mosque is located on an area of 18 thousand m2. The ceilings are 55 meters high. The height of each of the four separate minarets is 80 meters.
Presidential Residence
Ashgabat Square (sights, photos and a description can be considered in this review) reaches almost 700 square kilometers, so it has become possible to place many beautiful objects on its territory. One of these was the Oguzkhan palace complex, which is the residence of the head of Turkmenistan. The complex is a series of buildings that occupy a very large territory in the center of the capital.
The complex consists of buildings of different times. The oldest of them was erected during the Soviet Union. Today it is completely renovated. In 2011, new, beautiful buildings were built, including the Oguzhan Palace.
The palace has several rooms. In the central hall, guests are often greeted. In the “Golden Hall”, bilateral negotiations of the highest level are held in a narrow circle. “Gorkut-Ata” is a hall intended for holding negotiations in a wider composition. There is also a hall in which important agreements and documents are signed (Seljuk Khan), a hall for holding press conferences (Bayram Khan). There are other halls for other events.
Colorful TV Tower
On the crest of the Kopetdag ridge, a 211 meter television tower was erected. In the central part of the television and radio center there is an eight-pointed “Oguzhan star”, which is covered on both sides with special blue durable glass. Like Ashgabat (attractions, photos to which are attached), this element was once included in the Book of Records as the world's largest architectural image of a star. When it gets dark on the street, the color tower lights up on the TV tower, giving the object a special flavor.
In the telecentre, state radio and television channels conduct their work. The main block of the tower has 31 floors, where studios, office rooms, cafeterias, lounges and other facilities are located. At a 145-meter height is a revolving restaurant. From it you can admire the stunning panoramas of Ashgabat.
Palace of Happiness in Ashgabat
The Wedding Palace “Bagt Koshgi” (“Palace of Happiness”) was opened in 2011. This is a ten-story building, built in the form of an eight-pointed star Oguzkhan. On the columns stands a cube, which at the same time is the upper stage of the palace and accommodates a rotating ball, the diameter of which reaches 32 meters. This geometric body has become a symbolic image of the globe. In the center of the globe is a golden map of the country.
Turkmenistan (Ashgabat, sights) can be seen from the hill on which the palace itself is located. If the whole country cannot be seen, then its capital can be seen. In the palace you can organize several wedding ceremonies at the same time, as it has eight entrances. There are a couple of wedding halls, which you can find on the ground floor of the building. One of them is able to accommodate five hundred people, the second - twice as much.
