When the time comes for cold weather, apartments begin to be heated with radiators. The batteries are filled with hot water and thus heat the rooms. But, as you know, a warm apartment is expensive for its owners. Standards, taken inexplicably, reach almost heaven. Therefore, an apartment heat meter is becoming more common among residents. Consider how to choose and install the device.
Installation contract
Individual meters will be taken into account in the calculations in the event that common houses heat meters are installed in the houses, as well as 75% of all residents of the house will also install individual devices.
In addition to this, the following is required:
- check the technical conditions about the possibility of installing these meters in the apartment;
- apply with a housing organization;
- to pass instances in GosEnergo, TeploKanal and other state organizations;
- when all permits are obtained, you can contact the company engaged in the installation of devices, which has the appropriate license for this;
- Having purchased the meter and installed it, you must contact the heat supplier to have a representative come and put the appropriate seals.
From this moment, the calculations will be carried out according to the installed counter. They say that the savings in such cases is about fifty percent of the amount that owners pay according to the standards.
Now, understanding how beneficial it is to have an apartment heat meter at home, let us turn to the question of how to choose the right model. There are apartment and industrial meters. The former are usually small in size with a channel not exceeding 15-20 millimeters. For the most accurate calculation use a flow meter. But its installation is not always justified, because the temperature in the heating main, the pressure in the pipe, the volume of the coolant and the density should be taken into account.
Counters are of the following types:
- tachometric;
- ultrasound
- electromagnetic;
- vortex;
- radiator valves.
Tachometer counter
This apartment heat meter has a mechanical effect. It can be of several types, but there is only one principle of operation - the device counts hot water flowing through the battery. For proper metering, it is necessary to additionally install a filter, as the water flows rusty and dirty in the system, because of which the readings will not be issued correctly soon. Despite the lowest cost of the device, as a result, with a filter, it will not be such a budget option.
Ultrasonic counter
The ultrasonic apartment heat meter is manufactured in different versions. But they all differ only in flow meters. The device is installed in the pipe for direct and reverse flows. The emitter transmits an ultrasound signal through a liquid, and the receiver receives it, highlighting the data.
The arrow on the water flow converter must match the direction of the fluid. They also install temperature sensors in the circuit.
Electromagnetic counter
This type of device is installed both on an open and on a closed heat supply system. It is convenient to count heat in an apartment with their help, but they are expensive. An electromagnetic meter consists of a primary converter, an electronic unit and a temperature sensor. It automatically reads both water and heat supply, and temperature consumption, operating on the principle of electromagnetic induction.
Vortex counter
The vortex heat meter in the apartment works on the principle of the Carnot track. With the formation of artificial noise along the path of water, the liquid bends around it, and vortex flows appear. The device measures steam and water. It is installed horizontally between the nozzles.
Radiator distributor
Such devices save in those houses where common house heat meters are installed, but because of several vertical risers in the apartment, most other types of individual appliances are not suitable. The radiator distributor calculates the relative heating temperature, not the absolute. The latter type of calculation is achieved in this case after counting the readings of the distributor and the common house meter. Payment for individual consumption is made by the method that is approved by the Gosstroy of the Russian Federation.
The operation of the device is that it captures the temperature on the surface of the radiator, as well as indoors. The temperature in the room is programmed and is at twenty degrees. Measurement from the battery is carried out once every three minutes. This type of meter does not require cutting the battery. It is attached to the radiator depending on the design.
When deciding on the purchase of an appliance, one should take into account the heat going out of doors, crevices, windows, and so on, especially in the case of heating by electrical appliances. If you want to save, you should pre-and seriously insulate the entire apartment. Then the temperature will be constant, which will be recorded by heat meters, the price of which varies from three and a half thousand rubles to thirty-five thousand or more. And these indications will positively affect payment receipts, and the cost of the meter itself will quickly pay off.
