Recently, equipment has been quite common with which you can cook kebabs and any other food. In this case, we are talking about a barbecue with a stove. It can be built independently using brick or steel.
Preparation of tools for the grill of a brick oven
Among the necessary tools for laying the brazier, you need to highlight:
- Master OK;
- vibrating plate;
- rubber mallet;
- grinder;
- a shovel;
- capacity for solution.
The described equipment requires the arrangement of the site. To do this, you need ceramic brick, a dry mixture for its masonry, wild stone, metal corner, fireclay brick, as well as roofing material. For the design itself, you should prepare:
- hob;
- furnace door;
- blew the door.
Preparatory work
If you decide to build a barbecue with a stove, then first you need to choose a place to install it. The territory should be open, a large yard is perfect for this. If the plantations will interfere, then some of them can be removed. In the absence of a concrete site or paved area, it is necessary to prepare the foundation.
The structure will have dimensions equal to 2.5x1.5 m. The platform for it should be 3 m 2 . The selected place must be cleaned of debris, remove the top layer of soil, and then note the size of the future barbecue. It is necessary to deepen the foundation below the freezing line of the soil.
Foundation construction
If you decide to build a barbecue stove out of brick, then it should be installed on the foundation. A concrete mortar is perfect for him. When there is clay soil in the area, after digging a trench, you can immediately begin to pour concrete into the base. However, if there is a lot of sand in the ground, it will be necessary to install the formwork, only then you can start pouring.
As an example, a structure that rises 1 m or more above the ground surface will be considered. The chimney must be raised by 5 m. The average depth of the foundation should be 30 cm. It is better to use concrete of the M-200 brand to create the foundation. To prepare the solution should use:
- 1 part of cement;
- 4.8 parts of crushed stone;
- 2.8 parts of sand.
You can strengthen the foundation with a clay castle. For its formation, clay is used, which is laid in a layer of 2 cm around the foundation. The material must be tamped.
Brazier Erection
When erecting a brazier with a stove, it is necessary to lay a roofing material in 2 layers on the foundation for waterproofing. The first two rows are solid. In the third row, a steel door should be installed, while the fourth row will again be solid. In the next row, it is necessary to close the ash door with a lock and install the grate. Between the grate and the bricks you need to leave a 5 mm gap.
The sixth row is laid out without gaps. In the seventh row, you can install a fire door. Next, lay several rows solidly. From the 10th row, you can begin to form a chimney, while the 11th row will allow you to block the opening of the furnace door. In the 12th row, you should create a brazier center and stove stove.
The roasting pan will range from 10 to 13 rows. The next row must be laid out so that the side and rear walls of the furnace are formed, as well as the chimney channel. On the 23rd row, an arched ceiling is being constructed. From 24 to 31 rows, the brick is laid out in continuous rows. The transition to the pipe begins with 32 rows. The hood is formed from the same building material as the stove itself. However, some use metal products.
Barbecue oven under a cauldron
A brick barbecue with a stove for a cauldron can have a foundation arranged according to the above technology. However, in this case, the masonry will be slightly different. From the 13th to the 17th rows, the masonry must be made in the form of the letter P. From the second row, you should begin to form a blower chamber.
In the third row there will be a blower door. Here you need to leave a space that should be temporarily overlaid with bricks. On the fifth row, you need to create a place for a metal grill. For grill grills on the sixth and eighth rows in the walls, you should leave pins or staples. They can be mounted in several rows. This will allow you to move products depending on your tastes.
On the seventh row, a chimney channel is laid. The next two rows will form a place for the cauldron. This hole can also be used to install a tank for heating water. In the rows from 12 to 17 a hob is installed.
The implementation of the brazier of metal: preparation of the support
A brazier made of metal is performed after the manufacture of the support, which should be as reliable as possible, because it will have to undergo the weight of firewood, a cauldron with water, and also the food that is cooked. For this, corners and a profile pipe are usually used.
The cross members are welded to the legs at the top, they should form a rectangle whose dimensions are equal to the length and width of the main part of the structure. The width of the crossbars can be 4 cm. Exactly the same elements are welded to the legs with an indentation of 20 cm from the ground. A shelf for firewood should be placed on them.
Barbecue making
A brazier, a photo of which you can see in the article, is often made of sheet metal. To do this, take a workpiece with a width equal to the height of the furnace. The strip bends, and its edges are welded together. At the top of the shell, you can make triangular cuts that will become holes for firewood.
This design will also be an excellent stand for a cast-iron cauldron. In each corner at the top of the shell you need to make an opening. Its length should be 2 cm. Each petal bends outward, and the edges of the petals bend up. This must be done until the cauldron is free to sit on the rim. It is impossible to bend the petals to the center, because they yell at the walls of the pot when heated.
Conclusion
A brazier with a stove can also be made from a cylinder or pipe. These options are the simplest, because a sheet of metal does not even have to be searched and welded. The length of the pipe must exceed its diameter at least twice. The difficulty in this case can only be in finding the right product. It should have a fairly impressive wall thickness, because otherwise the design will not last long.
