Do-it-yourself gazebo - it's real!

A gazebo is one of the most common summer houses, performing several functions. It is very convenient to enjoy fresh air from under the roof. And if a gazebo is made with your own hands, and it is not a shame to show it to neighbors in the site and relatives, then its creator automatically acquires the title of expert on construction work.

Each master can demonstrate not only skill, but also his designer's talent and imagination. If a gazebo is made with your own hands, then, like a person’s dwelling, it reflects his taste and character. The purpose of the room is of great importance: how many people it will accommodate, at what time of day.

How to make a gazebo with your own hands? First you need to look around and find a convenient site on the site. It is better if the place for construction is in the shade of trees. If the gazebo with your own hands will be placed in a lit space, it is possible that it will be very hot in the summer. But the best thing is the coast of an artificial or natural reservoir, from where it will always blow with coolness and freshness. Water, without exception, has a calming effect. It is also good if there is no railway or expressway nearby.

It is important that the gazebo do it yourself in style consistent with the entire design of the site and other buildings. Most often, materials for construction are stone or wood. Sometimes they are combined.

If a place is chosen, then you should create a project and make markings on it on the ground. To create a project, you can turn to specialists who will create not only the idea of the appearance of the gazebo, but also drawings, as well as a detailed list of details. Of course, if the owner of the site has the appropriate education or experience, then he will be able to cope with it on his own.

Before marking, you need to prepare the site. First, you need to clean it of debris, plants, stones, roots or old stumps. Secondly, you need to cut off a layer of fertile soil (approximately 100 mm). It can be moved to the area of beds.

If the project is ready, you can start marking on the site. To do this, you need to make pegs in advance and stock up with twine and tape measure. It is convenient to do this work together.

When marking the structure, it is necessary to take into account not only its size, but also the width of the passage of one person on each side of the gazebo. After the preparatory work is completed, you can proceed to the next step.

First you need to dig a hole with a size of 15 x 15 cm and a depth of half a meter according to the number of supports of the arbor. Then insert supports in them (profiled pillars of the beam), if the arbor is made of wood, it can be larch or oak, pine. The pillars should stand very evenly, strictly at an angle of 90 degrees, not deviating a degree. You can check with a professional building level. That part of the support, which will be submerged under the ground, must be treated with an antiseptic: bitumen or hydron.

The next stage includes such actions: immersion of the pillars in the pits, roofing material is placed on top of them as a waterproofing. Now the pillars can be concreted.

A beam is laid on the installed posts. In addition, the entire perimeter of the future gazebo is marked with vertically mounted columns. Their upper part is sawn in a special way so that the roof can be fixed.

The lower part of the roof is first laid out on the ground and checked for compliance with the project drawings, and only after there is a place for all the details, it is gradually attached to the posts and sheathed with lining. The upper part of the roof is covered with roofing materials: tile, slate, roofing metal or stone.

After the end of these two stages, we can assume that the garden gazebo is half ready. The floor is best made from boards, the walls are often combined: the lower part is made solid, and the upper - trellised.
