For nearly 2 centuries, the resort town of federal significance Yessentuki is famous for its unique mineral springs. They were first discovered in 1811, and in 1823, after laboratory studies, they were recognized as healing. At the dawn of the last century, Essentuki acquired the status of the best Russian resort.
