Of course, the tasks in most cases are not very original, but the unique atmosphere makes each quest an unpredictable story. As for our protagonist, he will be entrusted with the important role of Dovakin, that is, dragon-killers. But on this we will stop, in order to avoid malicious spoilers. The combat system turned out to be quite dynamic, and the choice between heavy weapons, bows and magic will not let you get bored. Leveling has undergone several changes, becoming more "gentle". Now you just need to increase mana, health and strength, as well as discover new perks, which will greatly simplify the gameplay. Perhaps the whole game lacks staging, but against the general background of epicism, all the flaws somehow dissipate like fog. In addition to carrying out various tasks, the Skyrim world is full of other activities, forging new weapons and armor, brewing potions, exploring an incredibly beautiful world, reading dozens of entertaining books and more, etc. ... Truly, the developers did their best by making the best RPG for the entire history of the gaming industry.
The Witcher-2: Assassin's of Kings
The second “The Witcher” begins somewhat suddenly, where everyone adored Geralt of Rivia was imprisoned in a dirty prison for regicide, which, however, he did not commit. Right from the start, we are enveloped in a fascinating atmosphere, Hollywood special effects, the attention of seductive Triss, colorful characters and a simply bewitching picture, which you probably will not see anywhere else. The new Red engine is beautiful: in big cities or dark caves, in forest thickets or in castles - the picture is very beautiful everywhere, and what is happening before your eyes makes you believe in this wonderful world. No less impressive is the plot: the story captures us and takes us to a distant kingdom, where he packs "mountains" of opportunities and abilities onto Geralt, which, by the way, he is not always happy about. Most important quests have several development options, and there are 16 (!) Endings at all. The combat system since the first part has been completely redesigned, has become more dynamic, but no less complex. In general, the difficulty in this game is an abstract concept, because at first it’s quite difficult to pass the Witcher even at an easy level, but over time everything becomes much easier. However, for old schoolchildren, there are difficult levels that, believe me, will challenge you. In general, The Witcher-2 is an excellent representative of the RPG genre, which is not just a game, but a completely interactive adventure that captures 30-40 hours of gameplay.
Mass effect-3
Well, our list of RPG games on PC continues, and the project from the Canadian studio BioWare is next in turn. The third part became the darkest in the series, because wherever Shepard went, a spirit of despair is felt everywhere. Hoping to repulse the enemy, our hero goes to the Citadel, where he turns to the Council. Of course, they do not deny that a huge threat looms over the whole world, but they are in no hurry to help people. In this regard, the valiant commander will again have to unleash other people's problems, preparing for the inevitable losses and unexpected turns. Almost all missions are desperate battles, at the end of which only ruins remain, and ahead is a rapidly dying hope. The combat system has remained at a traditionally high level, there is proper customization and an extensive branch of abilities, and extensive levels will not let you get bored with shooting, because there will also be plenty of weapons. The latter can be upgraded, which cannot but rejoice. Fights in general have become much more dynamic and fierce, where spectacular reprisals against crowds of enemies await us. In general, this game does not pass fleeting entertainment, but, like a real work of art, leaves a place in the souls and finds its own corner in the hearts of millions of players. Of course, the best RPG games on PC are simply obliged to give their place in the Mass Effect-3 top, and therefore the game will firmly take third place in our list.
Fallout new vegas
And again a project from Bethesda Studio. As before, we have an open post-apocalyptic world with dozens of wonderful characters living according to their own rules and traditions, a sea of quests and exciting entertainment. The combat system will offer us an impressive arsenal of firearms and cold steel, and an extensive pumping will make the player think through his further strategy and style of passing. We can also craft some items, which, in principle, is characteristic of many role-playing games. Most of the characters are well thought out by the scriptwriters, which is why dialogs constantly carry crumbs of interesting information, enhancing the general attachment to the game and the excellent atmosphere of the wild world. The plot will tell us a long and instructive story of an ordinary courier who, by a wave of fate, was attacked, as a result of which he took revenge on the offenders and saved the whole region. All in all, Fallout: New Vegas It turned out to be an interesting, non-linear and beautiful title, which is mandatory for the purchase and passing to fans of hardcore and exciting RPGs. The plot of the game turned out to be quite exciting and interesting, it ties the player to the screen, not letting go until the denouement. Traveling the world with a group of companions, we become witnesses of breathtaking scenes, and a well-thought-out scenario makes us understand that each race has its own problems, desires and aspirations. Often here you have to make crucial elections and make important decisions, given the fact that 100% of the correct answers are not. All this will affect the attitude of others towards you, including the group. A lot of attention is paid to the relations within the team, because each hero is a person with his own views on what is happening, so the decisions you make affect their personal attitude to the hero. The combat process remains true to the traditions of BioWare: under your leadership at the same time can be 4 characters, while other characters rest in the camp.
The skirmishes look rather brutal and epic: blood gushes like a river, arrows fly everywhere and magical streams flash, wild sounds of the battle are constantly heard. Depending on the specialization, the characters have their own set of skills that you need to use wisely. A pumping system is also well implemented, which will require you to be smart and choose between the class of characters themselves. In general, Dragon Age Origins turned out to be an impressive RPG that will surely drag you out for whole weeks, or even months of exploring the local world. Canadians have proven that they can make great games, and therefore this project completes our list of RPG games on PC, which deserve the highest praise.
