Igor Bunich was born on September 28 in 1937. He spent all his childhood in Leningrad. He graduated from the naval school in the city of Yeysk, which in some way influenced his work. The initial profession was related to naval affairs - at the Naval Academy he was engaged in the study of archival materials. Also, one of Igor Bunich's hobbies was the translation of articles from foreign languages.
After his dismissal, the writer begins to distribute his own translations and narrations on military subjects. But at the same time, Igor Bunich did not admit that he was the author of these writings. A circle of acquaintances and friends enthusiastically accepted his work, not even knowing who the author is. Paying attention to the wide distribution of his literature, Igor Bunich since 1981 begins to publish his texts under the pseudonym I. Colt in the Leningrad magazine "Watch".
