Flowers, these amazing creations of nature, do not leave indifferent any woman. Apparently, the craving for the beautiful is inherent in us initially. Therefore, it will be interesting and pleasant for every needlewoman to make flowers from corrugated paper with her own hands.
Crepe is a material that is easy to work with, and a wide palette of its shades provides tremendous opportunities, limited only by imagination. Depending on the density, products from corrugated paper can be very different, but we will look at how to make roses and holiday garlands from it.
What do we need for work?
First of all, these are good scissors. If the tool is not sharp enough, the blades will begin to “bite” the material, and the edges of the petals will be sloppy.
Do-it-yourself flowers from corrugated paper are best made from Polish crepe. It has good quality, and the material probably will not tear when forming parts.
To fix the finished flower, you need an adhesive tape 1 cm wide and a wire from which the stem will turn out. Ready-made stems of green color are found in shops for florists, but they are not very easily bent.
If desired, you can decorate the finished flowers with sparkles. This can be a manicure sand or a special decorative glue. When working with the latter, pay maximum attention so that the petals are not wet or torn!
DIY corrugated paper flowers: work procedure.
We cut a tape about 8 cm wide from the roll, fold it with an accordion. For the resulting 5x8 cm rectangle, crop the upper part in the shape of a petal. It can have not only a rounded shape. Try to make pointed or elongated petals for different flowers. Expand the strip of paper and gently pull each of the petals from the center to the edges, giving it volume.
Now we collect the lower part of the strip, evenly wrapping it in a circle. Parts of the flower should lie down freely, without interfering with each other. When the tape runs out or the product seems to be quite voluminous, tighten the stalk with tape. The end of the stem is threaded through the flower head and looped. On top we decorate the middle with a bead, finely cut paper or a blank from fabric.
We wrap the stem with a thin strip of green paper, starting from the handle. At the same time, we pull the crepe slightly and fix the end with a drop of glue.
You can make flowers from corrugated paper with your own hands in one evening in such a quantity that they are enough for a whole bouquet.
Scraps of dense crepe should also not be thrown away. They are useful in the manufacture of various small crafts. To decorate the hall for a birthday or New Year's celebration, you will probably need a garland of corrugated paper. Make it very simple. It is enough to cut figures of different colors and sizes according to the template. It can be leaves, hearts, bows or sweets - everything that raises the mood and is associated with the holiday. It is best to connect the garland fragments with PVA glue, but use it very little at the same time. We fix the finished figures on a nylon thread, and our garland is ready.
