Tubular mushrooms: description

Tubular mushrooms examples
Tubular mushrooms (along with lamellar) belong to the category of old acquaintances of man. Our ancestors collected them from time immemorial. Where did the tubular mushrooms get such a name? On the bottom of the cap they can see a large number of microscopic tubes, which serve to mature the spores. These mushrooms have another name - spongy. They are named just because of the appearance of the lower part of the hat, which to someone seemed like a sponge. Tubular mushrooms are both edible and poisonous.

The well-known boletus, boletus, porcini mushroom, and moss fly belong to the edible . This is an incomplete list, the family of tubular mushrooms is much larger, but we will analyze only the most common species.

Tubular mushrooms

Boletus, or porcini mushroom, is deservedly called the king of mushrooms. This bastard can reach large sizes. In individual specimens, the size of the cap under favorable growth conditions is up to fifty centimeters in diameter. White mushroom is suitable for any cooking method: boiling, frying, salting, pickling. Dried, it retains its high taste, unlike some other mushrooms, which acquire a specific, often unpleasant, smell. Such universal culinary features does not possess, perhaps, more than a single mushroom. Where are they to the king!

The boletus boletus is also a popular and beloved mushroom. Despite the name, he loves to grow not only under birch trees. He feels excellent under rose hips or any other shrub or tree, or even nothing. It stands itself in the middle of the meadow, and the mushroom picker is waiting. Boletus (they are also called chubby) will be good in soup or in a skillet. However, dried - also very personal.

The boletus is similar to the boletus, like a sibling, except perhaps the redhead. And the leg on his cut immediately turns blue. It is less common, and just like a brother, it does not always settle under the tree that gave it its name. In taste, it’s about the same as boletus. Unless in a basket looks more cheerful.

Mokhovik prefers mostly warm regions, so it is more common in the south of the country, although it can often be found in central Russia. Some mushroom classifiers claim that the moss fly is the closest relative of the cep. Others do not say anything. Be that as it may, the moss fly has a high taste, however, still inferior to the boletus. It got its name due to the fact that it is most often found where there is moss.

But not everything is so rosy in this family. There are tubular mushrooms, which are not worth consuming. Mortally poisonous here, however, is not noted, but if you mistakenly or frivolously eat an inedible mushroom, you are guaranteed a lot of unpleasant sensations. The most famous of these is the satanic mushroom. The name speaks for itself. When used, a powerful digestive upset is inevitable. Although the satanic mushroom, like the white mushroom, belongs to the genus Borovik, it differs radically from its counterpart.

Tubular mushroom

This, of course, does not end with the description of the group “tubular mushrooms”. Examples can be found in any locality - more or less well-known. There are a lot of tubular mushrooms, even tinder fungi who love to settle on trunks of living trees belong to them.

And in conclusion, I would like to give advice to beginner mushroom pickers. The tip is brief but important. It sounds like this: not sure - don’t take it! Mushrooms, depending on the saturation of the soil with various elements, on moisture or other growth characteristics, can take on a form different from that described in encyclopedias or collection aids. In the absence of experience it is very, very easy to confuse edible and inedible mushrooms. If you make a mistake, at best you will get rid of a gastric lavage and a few days in a hospital bed. You doubt the mushroom - better go around it, let it stand on itself further. Enough for your age. More delicious!
