According to the laws of the Russian Federation, weapons cannot be stored freely. Federal acts contain certain requirements. In addition to the license, a citizen who wants to take possession of any of the above types of weapons should attend to medical examination, take possession of such tools (during initial treatment), and hunters need to get an appropriate ticket.
A purchase license gives the right to purchase one unit of weapons, it must be registered 2 weeks from the date of purchase.
The algorithm of actions on the portal of public services
If there are no barriers to obtaining the appropriate equipment (the medical board has been passed, a safe has been bought for storage, the citizen has not been tried for intentional crimes, etc.), you can proceed to the application. The algorithm for obtaining a license for weapons through public services, for example, a hunting rifle, is as follows:
- After authorization on the portal, you must select the section "Security and Law Enforcement".
- Go to "License for the acquisition of hunting smoothbore or pneumatic weapons, as well as cartridges for it." If you need to obtain a license for another type of guns or reissue documents, you need to select the appropriate section.
- The page that opens contains complete information about the service. After familiarizing yourself with it, you can begin to fill out the application, for which you need to click on the button "Get the service".
- Fill out the electronic application form, for which at hand should be:
- Passport. If the portal user, filling out the profile, indicated this information, the data will be loaded into the application automatically.
- A document that can confirm the successful completion of weapons courses. It is issued by an accredited organization, as a rule, these are sports universities or sports clubs.
- Certificate in the form No. 002-O / U which confirms that the applicant has no medical contraindications for the possession of weapons. Help can be obtained at the hospital at the place of residence.
- In cases where a license is needed for a hunting weapon, a hunting ticket or a document capable of confirming the practice of sports associated with the use of firearms, as well as the application of the sports federation.
The last step is to agree to the provision of the original papers upon a personal visit to government agencies and click on the "Submit Application" button.
The appeal is sent to the dispatch queue. When it is accepted by the authorized body, the user will receive a notification in the personal account of the portal. A separate notification will come when the date and time of the visit to the licensing and permission center is set.

How to renew a license through public services?
Permission to purchase weapons is valid for 6 months. If a citizen did not have time to acquire items for self-defense in the indicated period, the license must be reissued. The license to carry and store is valid for 5 years, it must be renewed 3 months before the expiration date. It is possible to renew the license for weapons through government services using an equally simple algorithm, only you need to select the appropriate item. It is important to note that both documents can be lost for certain misconduct.
