How to find a visa center
In St. Petersburg, the Italy Visa Application Center is located in a convenient location - right in the city center, next to Nevsky Prospekt, on the side of the Kazan Cathedral, around which many people gather every day in any, even the most ordinary-looking weather.
In order to get to the visa center accredited by the Italian embassy, you need to turn onto Kazanskaya Street from Nevsky Prospect in St. Petersburg. The sign is nondescript there, and it does not immediately become clear that the entrance to the center is here. Nevertheless, literally two steps after the turn - and the visitor will be met by a massive wooden door to the Nevsky Atrium business center at Kazanskaya street, 1/25. Now you need to go straight and turn right, before the visitor there will be the doors of a huge metal elevator, which will take you to the 5th floor, directly to the office of the center itself.
Opening hours
The Italian Visa Application Center in St. Petersburg is open from Monday to Friday. The center employees accept applications for visas from 8:30 to 15:30. The issuance of documents and the reception of calls to the call count center is from 8:30 to 17:30.
Additional information about the working hours of the Consulate General of Italy will also be useful: Monday-Thursday, from 9:30 to 18:00, with a half-hour break at 13:30. On Fridays, the working time is reduced to 17:00.

Registration cost
It is now a bit cheaper to apply for an Italian visa than in centers from other countries. Service fee is 1400 rubles. Payment can be made in cash or by card, together with the consular fee. It amounts to 35 euros for citizens of the Russian Federation, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, 60 for residents of other countries. Children under 6 years of age are issued free of charge, but at the same time an urgent visa even for them will cost 70 euros, and it is available only for Russian citizens.
It is better to prepare the necessary documents for delivery to employees in advance, since each photocopy and printout will be paid separately, in the amount of 25 rubles per page. Photos and a questionnaire at the Italian visa center in St. Petersburg will cost 250 rubles.

There is a paid Prime Time service in the center. It makes it possible to submit documents not until 15:30, but from 16:30 to 20:00. It must be recorded in advance.

It is curious to note that the VIP Premium Lounge service can be provided in the hall for 6500 rubles, which makes it possible to use mobile communications and even opens access to Wi-Fi. This is how the neglect of security at the visa center takes place for only 90 euros.
Documents for registration
For a tourist visa you need to collect a small amount of paper. The standard package (application form, passports, photo and insurance policy) is supplemented by a certificate of work or study, a bank statement, a ticket reservation (mandatory round-trip) and a reservation for accommodation for the entire trip.
The questionnaire must be filled in Latin in English or Italian, printed on four sheets (not pages!). Photo 3 × 4 cm, color and on a white background.
Requirements for financial confirmation must be found through the help center. In general, for a couple of travelers on a joint tour, funds in the bank should cover from 6 to 10 days of travel at a rate of 27 euros per person.
