Camp "Ocean" is a multidisciplinary recreational and educational state children's institution of the Russian Federation of a boarding type. “Ocean” - camp (Vladivostok). History

In 1972, it was decided to build a pioneer camp for children of Siberia, the Urals, the Far North and the Far East. Of the funds collected following the results of the All-Union Komsomol Subbotnik, fifteen million were allocated to implement the idea. A group of architects from Leningrad, led by Igor Malkov, developed a project for the institution. And so, in January 1974, construction of the complex began in the forest-park zone of Vladivostok, the camp was declared an All-Union Komsomol construction site. Komsomol members of the Baltic states, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and other union republics arrived to build the “Country of Childhood”. In 1975, a competition for the best name of the institution was announced in the Pacific Komsomolets newspaper. He was won by an eighth grade student from Vladivostok, Elena Staroverova, who offered to call the camp "Ocean."

First shift

In the summer of 1983, in June, the first counselors arrived in the "country of childhood". These were guys from other all-Union camps - "Eaglet", "Artek" and "Young Guard". They helped to complete the amphitheater - a summer stage for three thousand seats, prepared for the reception of children of the corps, came up with the squad’s names, composed poems, songs, legends ... The leader of the Vozhatsky squad decided to give the name “Source”. And on October 23, 1983 for children the brigantine squad opened their doors hospitably. A little later, on October 29, the first shift in the history of the Ocean was opened. In the presence of a huge number of guests at the solemn pioneer line, the foreman of the trust, who had been involved in the construction of the complex throughout the whole time, handed the children a symbolic key to the Brigantine. This day is considered the birthday of the beautiful squad.

Almost a year later, on August 17, 1984, the All-Union Camp "Ocean" (photo below) was officially opened. At the ceremonial line, the pioneers were awarded the Red Banner. The festival brought together hundreds of guests from all the republics of the Soviet Union, the best children's groups from Armenia, Lithuania, Uzbekistan, Georgia, pioneers of Vietnam, composers and poets, and the delegation of Orlyonka and Artek participated in it.

New squads

Children's camp “Ocean” in its history contains many glorious pages: all-union gatherings of sailors, young talents, friends of the police, border guards, tourists ... In 1986, in July, the first three corps were commissioned (“Brig”, “Frigate” , “Corvette”) of the summer team “Sail”, and the introduction of two more (“Caravel and Clipper”) took place in 1987. In “Sail”, in addition to changes in the pioneer asset, the following changes were held: “Children of boarding schools and orphanages”, “Children’s press”, “Counselors October”, “Technique. Progress. Humanity ”,“ Young Patriots of Russia ”and others. There were international shifts of children from France, Vietnam, Japan, and China.

In November 1993, a sad event occurred - a fire occurred, and all five Sail buildings were burnt down. They began to be restored only in 1996. But in 1995 there was a new summer squad called "Kitten", and in 2001 another one - "Tiger cub". In 2007, on the eighth of June, the first of the five Sail buildings damaged by fire was opened - the Brig. And only in the summer of 2013, when the Clipper hull was put into operation, all five squad ships were filled with wind.

Modern camp

“Ocean” today is a socio-pedagogical space where thematic programs that have already become traditional are being implemented. Among them are such as “Open lesson”, “Young leaders of Russia”, “Ocean Spring”, “School of Good”, “Ocean Olympus”, “Strong people”, “Business Express”, “My Federation”, “Show -master ”,“ Ocean League KVN ”,“ Russian Sunrise ”,“ Intellect ”and many others. All programs are aimed at developing the creative, intellectual, leadership potential of children and young people aged eleven to seventeen.

• Area: 265 hectares.
• Number of teams: four (“Brigantine” - 530 beds, “Sail” - 480, “Kitten” - 150, “Tiger” - 120).
• Stationary canteens are available in all squads except Sail.
• Type of food: five meals a day (breakfast / lunch / afternoon snack / dinner / second dinner).
• 24-hour medical care: medical posts in all squads, a hospital for forty people.
• Squads are formed according to age and gender and territorial-national characteristics, occupancy - 25-36 people in the squad.
• There are 3 counselors in each squad.
• In case of rest during the school year, classes are provided at the school.
• Year-round classes are held on the system of additional education ("School of Goodness").

Camp "Ocean" is constantly growing, gaining strength. Together with children, teachers continue to create the history of the "country of childhood" on the very edge of the Earth - by the Pacific Ocean.
