Norway Interesting facts of history and modernity

Norway has always attracted me with its stunning nature and fantastic originality. I read a lot about this North European country, and the more I learned about it, the more I wanted to go there.

I must say that I happened to travel quite a lot - these were trips at the invitation of colleagues and friends, and just buying tours. But so far to the north of Europe it has not yet been possible to climb. And now the dream came true in the summer of 2010.

The geographical position of Norway is very peculiar - the country is stretched from north to south, and quite strongly. Because of this, Norway is located simultaneously in several climatic zones, which leaves a peculiar imprint on the country's image. But what is surprising: it is never really cold here, because the warm ocean current - the famous Gulf Stream - warms the coast and affects the climate.

Norway Interesting facts are found everywhere. In summer, daytime reigns beyond the Arctic Circle, which never changes at night; in winter, on the contrary, the auroras adorn the long night. When I was a little girl, I asked adults - what do people living in the Arctic Circle sleep in winter? Indeed, the polar night lasts for six months ... But I have never seen a polar night with its stunning decoration in the form of multi-colored flashes of the northern lights. I did not happen to see the long night this time, but I looked at the polar day, which was also interesting.

Norway, interesting facts about which are often found in periodicals and in television programs, is home to fabulous creatures called trolls. Courageous Vikings and mythological creatures trolls are a kind of symbols of Norway, along with the emblem and national flag, which are in any other country in the world. But such courageous sailors, such as the Vikings, perhaps knew only ancient Norway.

In Europe, only a few states, including Norway, interesting facts about this are confirmed by research by scientists and simply reviews of tourists, have preserved all the riches of nature. In this northern country, I literally enjoyed the amazing purity of pristine nature. I have not seen so clean rivers and lakes in any of my trips, except in the Altai mountains.

Despite its geographical location, the country provides tourists with rich opportunities for recreation, especially active. You won’t especially relax on the beach - in summer the air temperature does not rise above 25 degrees. But outdoor activities can be completely exciting. Rafting, diving, whale safari, kayaking and rock climbing leave a lot of impressions. For the first time in my life I tried rock climbing - I won’t say that everything worked out for me, but it’s breathtaking specifically. I have encountered diving before - in the Maldives I studied at a diving school, I have an international certificate and more than a hundred dives. I must say that diving in the southern seas is fundamentally different from the north. There is no such variegation, as in the Maldives or in the Red Sea, but it is also fabulously beautiful.

When I was just preparing for this trip, my friends told me as a joke that I could see polar bears right on the streets of Oslo. This is a joke. Unfortunately, in order to see them, it was necessary to go to Svalbard, but I never reached this island.

But the fjords, striking with their color, I looked. The fjords are the most famous landmark that distinguishes Norway. Interesting facts about this unique natural formation can be found in books, but the point is not at all in them, but in that bewitching majestic beauty that is characteristic of these most interesting natural formations in which ancient Norway is clearly visible ...
