In kindergarten, children are engaged in visual activities, starting with groups of young children. The complexity of the work and its diversity is gradually increasing. If in the nursery group two-year-olds can only apply ready-made applique details according to the model of the teacher, and in the younger group stick them, listening carefully to the teacher’s explanation, then in the middle four-year-old children can create voluminous compositions from paper strips. Crafts are original, and it becomes more interesting for children to do such work. There is an element of construction when the child must create one solid object from long strips. In the article, we consider options for making crafts from paper strips for children of different ages.
Christmas tree
Such a voluminous postcard can be made for parents to celebrate the New Year. It will take a lot of strips of green, a yellow star on the top and a brown square for the tree trunk. In the younger group of the kindergarten, the teacher prepares all the details in advance, and the children only perform gluing. In the senior or preparatory groups, children can already cut out details for their cards. The work is carried out as follows.
Make blanks from strips of green paper. For this, the edges are glued together, a drop shape is obtained. Craft from strips of paper is done from the bottom. First stick the trunk. Then the first wide layer of “drops”. For the second layer, fewer parts are taken. Glued so that the branches were partially found on the bottom layer. This is done several times, reducing the number of "drops" in each subsequent. The star is the last to be attached. Craft from strips of paper for the New Year is ready!
Pumpkin
Such work can be done even at the autumn exhibition of crafts in the elementary grades of the school. You will need a toilet paper cylinder, wide strips of orange. You can use the quilling kit. First, the cardboard cylinder is glued with colored paper. Then a strip is taken and glued on both sides to the edges. The middle is free.
So, in turn, attach all the available strips to the pumpkin in a circle. When the form of the vegetable has turned out, it remains only to glue the twig and leaf on it. The paperwork is ready. In this way, you can make an apple or tomato.
Easter egg
This egg is made by weaving from strips of paper. First cut out the shape of an egg. Then the part is folded in half and several parallel cuts are made with scissors, but not until the end. It turns out the workpiece.
You need to cut out several strips of different colors from bright paper in advance. They should be the same in thickness. Then begins the actual weaving. A strip is pushed one by one under the incisions on the egg. When the places are full, the edges are cut off and glued to the main element.
You can make multi-colored eggs with beautiful bright stripes and arrange an exhibition. Such applications of paper strips can be performed on a different basis. It can be a fish, plate, candy or rug.
The principle of operation is the same: first the shape is cut out, then it is folded in half and a number of cuts are performed. In this way, older children can make a beautiful mural on the wall. Let us consider in more detail how to do it in the next subtitle.
Mural on the wall
Crafts from stripes of paper like to make not only small children, but also adults. Such a beautiful picture with a geometric ornament can be hung in the living room at home. The pattern may be different, using other colors. A sheet of A4 thick paper is taken, but not cardboard. On each side of the rectangular sheet we retreat 3 cm. This will be the distance to which the cuts must be made. Then it is best to draw a series of parallel lines using a ruler and a square. You can draw them both in the width of the sheet and in height, depending on which side the picture will hang. When the strips are drawn, the sheet is folded in half and cuts are made. Then the paper unfolds.
The next part of the work will be the preparation of identical strips of paper in different colors, depending on the selected pattern. It can be planned in advance by drawing in a notebook in a cage. In this applique of paper strips we will need: 4 strips of dark green color, 4 - light green, 4 - orange, 12 - gray.
Finally, the most painstaking part of the work remained. This is weaving. Do it carefully, referring to the pattern of the drawing, inserting strips into the cuts alternately. The edges are glued on both sides. When the entire pattern is completed, the picture can be inserted into a frame and hung on the wall.
