Killer
Short-range fighter in light armor with two-handed weapons. It has low survival, but many abilities for dodging and escaping. Can control the enemy, therefore, is a serious opponent in PvP. Deals increased damage from the back. Solving single missions with him is more difficult than with a warrior, since the killer deals damage on one target. However, because of this, the class is in demand in raids and dungeons.

Knight
A classic tank, the purpose of which is to block all incoming damage and keep enemies on yourself. Because of this, the characters of this class are strongly in demand in mass raids, since it is they who have to take the blow of strong bosses on themselves. A knight wears heavy armor, a spear and a shield. An interesting point in mechanics is that the incoming damage from the front is minimal due to the shield defense, and it is increased significantly at the side and back.
The verdict is an indispensable hero for raids, it has low damage for one target, in PvE it manages massive skills, and in PvP 1 on 1 is not so effective. If you want to be in demand at high levels and go to every raid, then create a knight, since there are very few of them on any server.
Priest
The priest is a full-fledged support class, and therefore is in demand in raids. Armed with a staff, dressed in cloth armor. Very "thin", does not own powerful attack spells, because of this it is extremely difficult for them to play PvE and PvP.
However, after difficult pumping, your efforts will be rewarded - the Priests, like the Knights, are extremely few at high levels. You will not wait for a team to enter any raid for more than a minute.
Berserk
Pretty balanced hero. One of the best classes in TERA Online for PvE due to the many massive spells and attacks. The only negative is slow attacks, but they are compensated by their strength. He wears heavy armor and is armed with a huge ax.
Berserk is indispensable in raids when you need to kill many mobs on the way to the main boss. In PvP, you can compete on equal terms with almost any class - it all depends on personal skills. Berserk is easy to learn, so many players choose it.
Magician
Our class guide at TERA Online has reached the first magical character. The mage is a classic wizard from any game: maximum damage to the target or area, weak armor and low mobility.
In mass batches and raids, the mage is always behind the main group and causes damage from afar. In PvP, 1 on 1 is rather weak without a high level of player skills - it is easy to control and kill. PvE easily copes with monsters in huge quantities, so it will be a welcome participant in any dungeons.
Archer
Deals high DPS, like a mage, but with the help of physical damage. The class is not combat ready in close combat. You will have to learn how to use traps to feel comfortable in 1 on 1 fights.
In pumping and completing quests, the hero is not so strong due to the small number of abilities and mediocre damage, but at the maximum level the archer is one of the best DDs (abbr. From damage dealer) in the game.
Mystic
Another support character. At the initial levels, he can replace the Priest, therefore he always quickly finds a team in a raid, but in the later stages of the game the role of the class moves aside - the Priest is more concerned with healing the allies, and the Mystic imposes buffs (temporary performance improvements).
In a single player game, Mysticism is much simpler. He has rather weak attacking abilities, which is offset by the ability to summon minions that tank enemies.
Reaper
This character appeared later than the main ones. The hero is immediately assigned level 50, so pumping takes a little time. However, for this it is necessary to have at least one hero in the account at least level 40.
The class specializes in medium and long range combat. Dressed in light armor, two sickles serve as weapons. High damage is inflicted on the enemy due to the imposition of DOT - long-term damage that takes health per unit of time. The hero is great for PvP due to mobility and powerful spells.
Engineer
Appeared along with official Russian localization. In single adventures, the hero boasts high damage in area, but the disadvantage is low survival. You need to be careful in PvP, as this class is not too mobile.
It is one of the most unpopular classes in TERA Online. At the same time, it shows its power precisely in raids, since it has a large DPS for one target and is able to clear locations from a large number of mobs.
Smasher
One of the simplest characters in terms of speed and ease of leveling in solo. It has balanced survival and damage. In some raids, he can play in a tank position, which is very beneficial due to the low popularity of the Knights. He wears heavy armor, but fights with the help of power fists. Along with the release of class awakening at TERA Online, developers have added mobility through long-distance jumping.
In raids it can be used as a tank or DD, so the search for a group will not be long.
Shinobi
Differs in high damage when performing spell chains. It is convenient in the mass destruction of mobs, but with sufficient accuracy, since light armor does not protect the hero from strong blows. It is considered one of the thinnest classes in the game. If a character does not take damage for a long time, then his attack increases. Most suitable for quests and raids, but for PvP you need some time to train.
Valkyrie
Valkyrie is very convenient in a solo game due to the large damage in area and pretty good survival. It is an example of a classic DD for any raid. It has many active abilities for mass damage, so it can easily cope with crowds of enemies with minimal support.
Which class to choose in TERA Online?
If you prefer to participate in all raids and sieges, then your choice is knights, priests, reapers, mystics. There are very few tanks and healers, so you will always be in the spotlight.
If you are interested in the process of pumping and completing quests, then choose any DD class of melee or ranged combat. In the later stages of the game, without friends or a clan, it is difficult to find a group for raids, but the gameplay will be as spectacular and enjoyable as possible.
