Indoor roses: the origin of the species and general characteristics
Almost all dwarf species of indoor roses were introduced back in the 19th century from China. They are undersized evergreens with long and abundant flowering. More than 2000 varieties and hybrids of dwarf roses are known. Species suitable for indoor cultivation have a lush, compact bush form from 15 to 50 cm in height. There are self-root plants grown from cuttings and grafted on rose hips. The former are lower stunted and unpretentious in care, while the latter grow taller and require much more attention and care.
