What is the game about?
The protagonist of the second part is a young sergeant who was influenced by a mutation. The new game completely repeats the gameplay of the first part with minor innovations. Most fans of the series did not like the new protagonist. After Alex from the first Prototype, Sergeant James looks very faded. The story of Prototype 2, the system requirements of which you will learn below, also does not cause a storm of emotions and worries for the protagonist.
In the new part, a set of abilities was redesigned. The character has learned to use more than 10 skills that open through leveling and distribution of ability points.
The developers did not forget about the expansion of the arsenal. Despite the fact that most of the time the hero uses superpowers, in the game there was a place for a large selection of knives and firearms. For Prototype 2, the system requirements have not changed much since the first part - a good optimization of the game engine affects it. The fleet has also been expanded. Most of the vehicles are military equipment.
Event Location
All actions take place in New York Zero. This place before infection was the usual New York. The entire territory is divided into three locations, or zones. Red is extremely dangerous for healthy people - these locations are completely covered by the virus, and getting there is equated with death for an ordinary person. The yellow zone is the border between the surviving areas of the city and the contaminated area. The dead zone is a complete lack of life - in these areas either mutants are completely exterminated along with the architecture of the city, or a mutation completely swallows the area. Although in Prototype 2 the system requirements are quite high, the game engine produces a very mediocre picture. Most likely, due to the large number of open spaces in the game, the developers made sacrifices in the direction of productivity rather than the quality of the graphics.
