This is a good bedtime story about the bunny Styopa. Once upon a time there lived a bunny Styopa. He lived in a beautiful and green forest. Spring has come. Birds began to sing around, flowers bloomed. It was a wonderful time for a walk. Bunny Styopa on this quiet day walked in the clearing. Suddenly his
best friend, the hedgehog Borya
, ran out of the bushes to him.
- Styopa! Styopa! We run soon! There is trouble! Shouted the hedgehog.
The hedgehog and the bunny ran together to other animals that crowded around some kind of pit. Previously, this pit was a deep, clear and sky-blue lake.
- How so? How could it dry? - the squirrel was indignant.
“Where are we going to drink from now?” - picked up the deer.
“Will we all be thirsty?” - the wolf was horrified.
Styopa the bunny stood and could not believe his eyes. Bear Vova went to the bunny.
- Do not be afraid, Styopa! Water will be in this lake again! I'm sure! - the bear said decisively.
The bear and the bunny looked at each other, and he and the hedgehog went along the path. They walked in silence, when suddenly Styopa's bunny said:
“We need to find out why the lake is empty.”
- I'll go with you! - said hedgehog Borya.
“And I,” said Vova’s bear.
And so the three of them went down the stream. Now it was just a path. The hare, the bear and the hedgehog were about to go behind the large stone behind which the mine was hiding, but a large wooden wall stood in their way.
The reason for all the troubles
- What is it? - asked the bunny.
“It seems that because of this we have no water,” said the hedgehog.
Bunny came closer to the dam and tapped on it. She was very strong.
- I wonder who could build such a wall? - Styopa asked.
Suddenly a beaver came around the corner. He looked at strangers for a long time. Finally, he said:
“Who are you and why did you come to our house?”
“We came to you from the south side of the forest.” We have no water. Your wall does not leak a stream.
“But if there is no our dam, then we will not have a house,” the beaver grieved.
“And if I help you find a new home, will you remove your wall?”
- I dont know. I'm not in charge here. You need to talk with our leader, ”said a new friend and dived into the water on the other side of the dam.
Unexpected neighbors
The animals looked at each other and followed the beaver. They walked around the big wall and saw the whole city. No one paid attention to the guests, and everyone continued to do their own thing. As soon as the bear took the first step in their direction, all the beavers turned their faces towards them. - Hello everybody! - Styop's bunny greeted me warmly.
But before he could continue his speech, as if all the beavers seemed to evaporate.
- Well, where are you ?! Shouted the hedgehog Borya in vain.
No one responded.
- Please talk with us! We will not harm you, - once again tried to stop their bunny.
“Although you have caused us many problems building this dam on a stream,” the bear muttered.
Beaver heads appeared from behind the trees. They looked at their friends in surprise.
- Yes! Because of your wall, all of our inhabitants do not have water, and we will all die if you do not remove it, ”the Vova bear added louder.
“But if we remove our dam, then we die.” We will lose at home, - the leader entered into conversation.
- We will help you find a new home! - Styopa exclaimed.

Solution
And then they all started to work together. Slowly, beavers and our friends began to disassemble the dam. The third hour of work was already going on, and the wall did not seem to shrink.
“There's a lot of work,” said the hedgehog tiredly.
“The lives of our families, neighbors and friends depend on us, so we must finish the job!” - confidently said the bunny Styopa.
It was already the fifth hour, and the wall was barely reduced.
- Maybe we’ll give up this venture? Hedgehog asked hopefully. - We can move to beavers, and we will have water.
“I will not abandon my family and my friends,” Styopa stood on his own.
Friends help
Suddenly, behind the dam, there was a noise. The next moment, a crowd of animals came around the corner. In them, the bunny recognized his mother, father and little brother. Hedgehog saw his grandmother. But the bear was sad: he had no family, and Styopa and Borya were his only friends. Remembering how lonely he really was, the bear bowed his head and a tear rolled down his furry cheeks. Bunny turned to him and said:
- Hey, what are you doing?
“You all have a family.” I'm lonely. You are my only friends.
“The whole forest is your friends.” You did so much for them! Exclaimed the bunny hotly.

Beaver House

“You promised us a new home.” Did you find him?
“I know one place,” the bunny smiled.
Bunny led all the beaver people to the lake. It was separate from the brook, which had recently stood dry.
