During transportation, the cargo should not protrude beyond the dimensions of the vehicle front and rear by more than a meter, and by 40 centimeters on the sides. If the cargo stands for the dimensions of the machine, then special signs must be installed at the edges. To do this, use shields 40 x 40 cm in size with stripes of red and white.
According to the SDA, the carriage of cargo that protects the dimensions of the car in the dark is performed only when highlighted in red and white.
According to the rules, the total width of the vehicle with the transported cargo should not be more than 2.5 meters, and the protrusion in front or behind - not more than 2 meters.
A large load should not close the review, cover state signs of the car, headlights. The load must be securely fixed, while it must not be allowed to slip, move. If it really happens that you have to stop in order to fix the load or fix it additionally, then you need to turn on the alarm, and in some cases - set the warning triangle.
Oversized cargo
According to the SDA, the carriage of cargo on the luggage carrier installed on the roof of the car is permitted only provided that its weight is not more than 100 kilograms. Otherwise, damage to the racks or roof may result from overloading.
When transporting cargo with a large area, such as fiberboard or plywood sheets, aerodynamic drag occurs, so the cargo must be secured with great care.

Cargo can only be transported if it fully complies with the category and type of vehicle and does not limit the view. When driving in a car, cargo transportation according to traffic regulations should be performed so that the driver can see the road and assess the situation on it.
If the cargo does not meet the specified requirements, then its movement must be stopped, and all violations eliminated.
Heavy load
Transportation of heavy, dangerous goods, as well as the passage of vehicles with and without cargo, with dimensions greater than 2.5 meters wide, 4 meters high, and when the cargo protrudes beyond the dimensions of the vehicle more than two meters, must be carried out in accordance with special rules established by law enforcement agencies. Typically, a sign is installed on such machines, showing at what maximum speed it can move. Be sure to sign the "Dangerous Cargo", "Long Length" sign on heavy trucks.
