Lego is a fascinating toy not only for children but also for adults. However, over time, it gets boring to collect the same buildings or objects according to the instructions, and sometimes some details are simply lost, and then a series of experiments comes. So, if you were looking for how to make a crossbow from Lego, moreover, a functioning and simple model, then this article is definitely for you.
Preparatory stage
Since this article is for those who do not have a special kit to create this model, some details will be approximate only, they can be replaced with longer or shorter ones. Dimensions that are useful in the manufacture of a crossbow:
- three parts 2 x 16 or one part 2 x 16 and one 4 x 16;
- one piece 4 x 6;
- two parts 2 x 6;
- one piece 4 x 4;
- two tall parts 2 x 4;
- one piece 2 x 1;
- four sliding (that is, without fastenings or bulges on top) parts 2 x 4 or eight squares 2 x 2;
- several sliding parts, which when connected should give two strips 16 x 1 long;
- several flat parts that together should form two 16 x 1 parts;
- elastic for banknotes.
For the manufacture of shells, you can simply connect three parts 2 x 4, and you can use shorter parts.
Crossbow assembly
First stage. In the middle of the part 2 x 16, on top, position the part 4 x 16 (two parts 2 x 16) so that they form the letter "T", and the hat should be thinner than the base.
Second phase. On one of the 4 x 6 parts, position the 4 x 4 part so that it is on the edge but does not extend beyond. Under the resulting part, fasten with a 2 x 1 part on the opposite edge in a similar position in the middle. Turn over the base assembled in the previous step and attach the resulting part to the bond.
The third stage. Attach 2 x 6 rectangles to each of the high parts 2 x 4, these will be the side mounts for the elastic. Fix each of the parts obtained on top of each other on a thin base.
The fourth stage. On the sides of the wider base, make tracks in the width of one division. On the unfilled middle, fix the sliding parts 2 x 4 (or any available format), cover the sides with the sliding parts as well.
The fifth stage. Fasten the elastic. Bring it under the 2 x 1 bulging part, then bring it forward and circle the side mounts on the base.
