Origin is a digital gaming distribution platform from Electronic Arts. The application is installed on a personal computer as a separate client, through which the user can access the store, personal games library, friends list and developer news. The creators of the service are constantly improving the interface and functionality, so players periodically have to download new versions. This article describes how to update Origin in different ways.
Auto update
After you have downloaded the distribution package of the program and installed it, the server will receive information about available updates. By default, Origin has the option to automatically download patches, so you don’t even have to do anything. It is enough to start the utility from the icon on the desktop, and the server must independently update the "Origin" to the current version.
This method works even if you have not started the application for a long time - the automatic update function was introduced in the initial versions. Of course, the longer there was a break in the use of software, the longer it will download updated files. Usually the procedure does not take more than 5 minutes.
