Master class: frog from a plastic bottle

Plastic bottles are a fertile material for experiments in arts and crafts. They will be found in every home in the right amount. In addition, plastic can easily be cut with ordinary scissors or a stationery knife, punched with an awl, a needle, it is beautifully painted, glued to PVA or simply melted with a lighter. Well, such a recycling of plastic bottles is a noble cause for the benefit of the environment, since plastic is also famous for its durability.

This master class on working with plastic will be dedicated to one of the most famous heroines of Russian fairy tales - let's try to make a frog out of a plastic bottle. And not simple, but the real "Princess".

A frog made from a plastic bottle is one of the simplest shapes you can make. What will be needed for such a beauty? Take two two-liter plastic bottles of any color, as well as one bottle with a volume of 0.5 liters. Still need a clerical knife or scissors, some sand, glue, wire and an awl. Well and, of course, paints.

First, cut off from the two-liter bottles of the bottom at a height of about 10 centimeters. In order for our frog from a plastic bottle to be stable, we pour sand into one of the bottoms - without it, plastic will blow away with a gust of even the weakest breeze. Now we firmly insert the bottoms into each other with the cut sides to the stop. It is possible to smear 0.5 centimeters on each side with glue for better fixation, but even without it the frog will hold. At the next stage, the frog from plastic bottles should acquire beautiful paws. We cut out the hind legs with the fingers from the rest of the bottles and the front ones - only the β€œhands” themselves. We fix the hind legs on the sides of the frog with an awl and wire. The front ones can be put on glue - for this, use the notches of the bottom, there will be two of them just in front - than not the front paws?

Well, what kind of frog princess from a plastic bottle will do without a crown! We make it from a half-liter bottle - cut it off the neck to a height like a crown, cut the edges with cloves. Carefully cut a knife in that bottom, which is the frog’s head, a hole in diameter of the crown of the crown, grease the neck with glue and insert it into the hole. You can make it regally straight, or you can break it in a hooligan way to the side - as your soul desires.

Now just a little remains - we take acrylic paints and color our Princess. We draw eyes, a mouth, we cover a crown with gold paint. In place of the mouth, you can make a cut with a knife - then from the remaining plastic you can also cut an arrow to better match the fairy tale and insert it into your mouth. Such a frog from a plastic bottle will be an interesting solution for a private house instead of garden gnomes that are fed up with all the sculptures. She will find her place on an alpine hill, in a rock garden, on the banks of an artificial pond or just in the thickets of bushes on your site and will delight both adults and children with its longevity, beauty and originality. Now frogs from plastic bottles are no problem for you! Delight your family!
