You have probably noticed more than once that the new clothes do not fit perfectly on the figure: in some places the fabric sticks out and bubbles. This is annoying, I don’t want to wear such a thing at all.
What is the problem?
Such a defect is allowed more often by beginner seamstresses. In most cases, marriage is manifested if the sewing of the product is divided by processes, and the seamstress is not responsible for the final result. In other situations, such a defect is easy to hide with ironing.
First, find out what literally means this term. To start is to connect two sections with a sewing machine, and simply to sew them.
This stage in the sewing process is very important: the inability to correctly connect the seams of the product leads to its deformation. Sewing properly is fitting the fabric in the right places. Perfectly stitched thing sits well on the figure, more practical to wear.
How to sew
Even with symmetrical cutting of the product, seams can not be sewn correctly, which will lead to a distortion of the silhouette shape. Consider the example of tucks. If the lazy seamstress does not measure and align the edges of the darts accurately, then one of them will be fitted. She will carefully iron her defect so as not to spoil the product, and when wearing such a thing, a bubble will appear in the waist area over time. In this case, a good seamstress will order a tuck, measure it again and sew it, which in the finished product will exclude the possibility of marriage.
The most convenient way
For him we need a thread and a needle.
- We draw a tuck contour with a chalk on the product and carefully sew it. The knot at the end of the thread does not need to be made, folding it in half is also not necessary.
- To sew seams correctly, we begin to sew a tuck from its narrow angle to a wider one.
- The stitch length must be the same throughout the process. Needle punctures do exactly on the intended lines.
- The last stitches should be at the very edge of the part so that the result is perfect.
- And the last step - to grind this product evenly, pull the thread on both sides of the tuck and tighten it well. The work is done. It remains to stitch the tuck on the machine.
Be sure to chalk out the ends of the undercuts and check their symmetry before sewing. We start sewing from a wide edge and closer to the end, reduce the stitch width, pull the fabric from under the presser foot and leave the ends of the threads 5-6 cm long. Carefully tie them into a knot without pulling so that the undercut from the front side looks smooth.
As a result, it turned out that it wasn’t difficult to grind, the main thing was to correctly measure, draw and outline tucks. In the end, do not forget about the wet-heat treatment of the product.
