First you need to determine where the Mauerlat will be installed, since the gable walls should be raised by 2 rows of brickwork. This must be borne in mind when building a pediment with your own hands. The height of this design also needs to be increased by 2 bricks. The thickness of the capital wall is divided into 2 parts, as a result of which, accordingly, a part of the gable being constructed will be equal to half its value. Next, you need to install the mast where the highest roof height is planned. If everything is done correctly, the rail will be in the middle of the beam. A twine is attached at the top of the mast. Both ends of it are tightly pulled and fixed in the corners of the walls. It turned out a triangle (if the roof is multi-pitched, then the masts are installed in the area of the available roof corners and the polyhedron is determined using twine). The edges of the wall should also look like a triangle. For an even slope, the bricks are first laid without a bonding mortar. Then the corners are cut off at the extreme bricks. After that, the masonry is done again with the solution. Then the edges of the wall are equalized with a cement mixture - and the specified structure is ready.
How and what you can do with the gable
Most often, this structure is finished with wood-shaving plates or lining. In recent years, a lot of modern materials have appeared on the market (plastic, corrugated board, siding, etc.). As a result of this, you can significantly reduce the cost of lining. For example, the gable from the corrugated board is made and installed quite easily with your own hands.
Siding is also very suitable for facing this design. For any finishing material, an important element of preparation is the calculation of the area. Accuracy is good here. First, the area of the pediment itself is calculated. After that, finishing material is cut out.
DIY front gusset
This process should be carried out after installation of the crate. It is made of an aluminum profile or 4 x 4 cm wooden beams. If the attic is residential, then insulation is laid between the parts of the crate, and then a protective film is applied that retains heat and prevents moisture from entering the structure.
