Odintsova Anna is the main female character in I. Turgenev’s famous novel “Fathers and Sons”. This woman continues the series of famous heroines of the writer. And although she, unlike other characters, is not a young girl, the process of formation and formation of which often became the object of close attention and interest of the author, nevertheless, she occupies a prominent place in his work as a person who managed to arouse a feeling in the protagonist, the nihilist Bazarov, who, in turn, became one of the most expressive characters in Russian literature.

For example, denying his nihilism, she asks the question: "Do you think there is no difference between a stupid and intelligent person, between good and evil?" She became interested in the main character precisely because he also had a harmonious worldview system. In their conversations and dialogues, these two systems constantly clashed with each other, and the advantage usually turned out to be on the side of the heroine. The fact is that this woman lived as her mind and heart prompted her, guided by simple worldly experiences.

All readers of the novel "Fathers and Sons" probably always wondered about the reason for the interest of these heroes to each other. There is much in common between both. Heroes, as mentioned above, had their own system of values ​​and philosophy of life, which was followed not only in words but also in deeds. Odintsova, like Bazarov, was indifferent to the beauties of nature. She was smart, was interested in sciences, as was the main character.
The heroine is deprived of prejudice and, like her new acquaintance, lived in the usual manner, disregarding the opinions of others. At the same time, she had no specific purpose, which she herself once admitted: "There are many memories, but there is nothing to remember ... I don’t want to go." Such a position in life surprised Bazarov, and at this point differences began between them.
Confrontation
The hero believed that it was necessary to end the old way of life and establish a new order. Moreover, he himself did nothing for this in practice: he did not participate in the revolutionary movement and did not belong to any circles, but, on the contrary, belonged to young intellectuals (like his casual friend Arkady) with good-natured contempt. Odintsova is not like that: she showed interest in everything, carefully watched the people around her, carefully analyzed their characters, behavior, words. Bazarov interested her as an outstanding person: a young woman immediately guessed in him a strong personality with somewhat eccentric looks, but capable of struggle, and remarkable physical and mental work. These qualities greatly impressed her, in addition, in Bazarov one felt an excess of vitality and energy, which she carefully suppressed in herself.
