From Kovrov to Moscow and back: by train, car, bus

The city of Kovrov, located in the Vladimir Region, on the banks of the Klyazma River, has an ancient history. Ancient legends connect the development of this territory with the name of Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky. In the 12th century, he presented a land allotment to the hunter Eliphan, who showed him hospitality. Four centuries later, the village formed on this site was named after the owners - the princes Kovrovy, and was soon transferred to the possession of the Savior-Euthymius Monastery.

Towards the end of the 18th century, the village turned into a county town with its own emblem, where the image of hares, which are very common animals in those parts, flaunts against a green background. Now the settlement is a district center covered with military glory, and a large railway junction on the line Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod. This makes the location of a prominent city in the region unusually successful, especially since the distance from Kovrov to Moscow is only 270 km.
