The process of making a ballerina from napkins is like a popular papier-mâché technique: thin paper, impregnated with adhesive solution, is layered on a frame and dried.
To get a beautiful ballerina from a napkin, you will need:
- As the main material - white multilayer napkins, and for the skirt, you can use any to your taste.
- Durable wire and pliers.
- PVA glue (sometimes use starch).
- White cotton or man-made threads.
- Sharp scissors.
- Transparent fishing line and thin needle.
- Additional decor (beads, organza, ribbons, mesh and other materials).

From napkins, a variety of figures of ballerinas are obtained. But first of all, you need to make a frame, that is, a kind of "skeleton" of the future dancer. For this, wire is useful. It is advisable to choose a rather rigid material so that the ballerina from the napkin holds her shape well.
With the help of pliers, you need to bend the wire so that a human figure is obtained. Real proportions should not be observed, ballerinas with very long legs, a small head and arms proportional to the overall height will be more elegant.

Next, prepare the adhesive solution: we dilute PVA with water in a ratio of 1: 1. The frame should be wrapped with napkins, divided into layers and torn into strips.

If the ballerina's skirt is made of a colored napkin, then its white lower layers can be used to form the body.
When the “mummy” is completely wrapped in paper and takes the shape planned by the craftswoman, it can be greased with undiluted glue and left to dry. When working with figures of male dancers, it should be noted that their complexion will be a bit more massive.

At this stage, you can dream up a lot, because the dancer can be dressed in an outfit of any color.
The classic is a white fluffy dress. However, a layer of a plain or painted napkin is often attached over it.
In any case, the algorithm for creating the dress is the same:
- You need to take one layer of paper and fold it in the way it is usually folded to cut New Year's snowflakes.
- Next, the resulting triangle must be shortened to the desired size. It is important to give the cut line a certain smoothness, then the bottom line of the skirt will be flat, without corners.
- Then the workpiece must be carefully (so as not to break) to turn around its axis in one and the other direction.
Having expanded the sheet, it is worth checking whether the length of the dress is suitable.
Completion of work: how to dress a ballerina and make a loop
In the upper part of the dress you need to make three holes: for the head and arms of the dancer. Then the figure is put on and the dress is fixed at the waist with a thread or a narrow ribbon.
So that the hands do not interfere with the seamstress, they can be raised up for a while. Indeed, inside the wire frame, and the ballerina can be given any desired pose.
