Let's look into the future: the road along the bottom of the strait

According to the global plans for the restoration of the region, at the end of 2018 it is planned to build and open a tunnel that will run along the bottom of the Kerch Strait. Such a transition will consist of two independent, but interconnected emergency locks tunnels. A two-lane highway with a length of 14.7 km will be laid for each. Then the bus will cover the distance between the cities of Anapa-Yalta in 3-4 hours without transferring passengers to ferries or catamarans. Until then, you have to use combined modes of transport.

Isn't it easier to sail only in water?

Two high-speed catamarans last year operated daily Anapa-Yalta flights through Feodosia. One passenger can comfortably accommodate 300 passengers. Everyone is allowed to carry up to 36 kg of cargo. For children under the age of 1, travel is free. In the new season, the opportunity to order tickets for this transport via the Internet has appeared. However, catamarans now make flights only to Feodosia. Modern high-speed vessels are equipped with air conditioning, televisions, comfortable seats. You can walk around the deck while swimming. Further, the Anapa – Yalta sea route has so far been canceled due to insufficient cost recovery. Vacationers reach the final destination from Feodosia by car in 2.5–3 hours. With an increase in passenger traffic in this direction, the route can be started again.
