The material or alloy from which the union nut is made complements the design capabilities, having properties such as corrosion resistance, softness, hardness, resistance to aggressive environments, resistance to temperature extremes, as well as cold brittleness and red brittleness thresholds. Such a variety of properties can be achieved using various grades of steel and alloys, which, in turn, require different temperature conditions and processing. Steel for the manufacture of nuts: stainless, alloy, carbon. Alloys on the basis of which nuts with special properties are made - copper, brass, bronze, titanium, aluminum.

Due to its properties, the union nut is convenient when connecting in hard-to-reach and stationary parts. It is used to connect thin-walled parts and can withstand pressure from 0.9 to 18 BAR. For assembly and disassembly, you need a minimum of tools - just a key of a suitable number. All types of nuts have a long service life, most of them are corrosion resistant.
