OBS is a specialized utility that is designed to facilitate the user’s broadcast experience. Despite the fact that at the moment, according to the developers, the program is being actively tested and still does not constitute the final version, it has a pretty solid functionality that allows you to organize a really high-quality broadcast.
Among other things, it should be noted that the OBS program itself is absolutely free, easy to configure and install, while it is worth noting that the Twitch stream in OBS is much more convenient for many than its direct competitor - Xsplit.
How to install?
In order to install this program, you must use the Windows Vista operating system or a younger version, since it uses DirectX 10. Another subtlety that you will need to pay attention to is that in no case can you install the program in folder with names in cyrillic. It is worth saying that no additional Twitch stream setup in OBS will be performed at this stage.
It should be noted right away that the program was originally translated into Russian, as a result of which it can easily be loaded with it initially by default. At the same time, it is worth noting that if you have at least basic knowledge of the English language, then in this case it is advisable that the OBS configuration for the Twitch CS: GO or WoT stream be carried out on it so that you do not have to face any difficulties or confusion due to translation errors. To do this, it is enough to go to the options that are located in the lower right part of the screen, and then select English from the drop-down list. After that, the program restarts completely.

- Sources (sources) - various individual elements of the scene, placed on the screen. It is worth noting that initially there are only six main types of sources in access. Detailed setup
Accordingly, in order to properly configure Twitch stream in OBS, you must use a single source and scene. You will need to create a new scene by clicking RMB on the field near Scenes, and also select the Add Scene section in the pop-up window. After that, you will need to come up with a name for the new scene and click the "OK" button.
Next, right-click on the field near Sources and select Add Software Capture Source in the pop-up window . Now come up with a name for the new source and also click OK. After that, the program capture settings window will open. Encoding is one of the main points that includes setting up OBS for Twitch without lags. This setting has a direct impact on the quality of shooting, as if you set it incorrectly, bugs may appear. Or instead of the normal picture there will be squares everywhere. For this reason, you first need to determine the speed of your Internet channel, and then set the settings in accordance with the ApocTV table or Zero Talent.
Broadcast settings
- Live Stream You will not be recording video, namely a stream, that is, recording in real time.
- Stream Service is selected depending on which service you use to create the channel. It is worth noting that for services that are not included in this list, there is a Custom option.
- Server - selects the server to which this stream will be transferred.
Among other things, do not forget that in the Video section you will need to correctly configure settings such as resolution and FPS so that all your viewers see the optimal image quality.
