Roofing material is laid on a crate made of OSB sheets or plywood.
When performing installation work, some rules must be observed:
- For the foundation, only dried boards with a thickness of at least 12 mm should be purchased. If the products are not dried and of lesser thickness, they may begin to distort during operation.
- Plates must be staggered so that the gap between the sheets is 3 mm.
- The plates are fixed to the butt bars in increments of 15 cm, and to the intermediate beam in increments of 30 cm.
- The lining carpet is laid along the ridge in horizontal stripes, starting from the cornice. The edges are coated with mastic.
- Each upper strip is overlapped with the lower one. Sheets are nailed with a pitch of 20 cm. The fastening step at the end joints is 10 cm.
