Pear planting times vary by region. In the middle part of our country, seedlings are placed in the ground most often in the spring. This happens in late April or early May, before the leaves appear. And in the southern regions, pear planting is considered correct in the fall. This is due to the fact that under these conditions new roots are formed better due to the large accumulation of moisture in the soil. However, in the autumn it is more difficult to save young trees from the attack of rodents, therefore, protection from these pests is also carried out in parallel.
Proper planting of a pear is the key to a good harvest. Before placing the seedling in the ground, it must be carefully inspected by removing damaged branches. At the same time, the root system cannot be touched, since it is in it that there are many trace elements and nutrients that the tree needs so much for growth.
Planting a pear in the fall is carried out in pre-prepared pits with a depth of sixty and a diameter of about one hundred centimeters, seasoned with fertile soil. On already cultivated soil or pre-prepared hills, shafts, you can do without them.
The walls of the landing pits should have a steep slope. With a conical shape, the soil unevenly settles, causing a deepening of the root necks.
At the same time, it is not recommended to smooth the walls with a spatula, as this makes air exchange difficult.
For refueling pits, as a rule, a mixture of fertile soil, rotted manure or compost and peat is used. You can add mineral fertilizers, depending on the type of soil. In this case, you must be careful that excessive zeal does not lead to burns on the root system.
The gradual raising of the upper ground layer obtained by mulching leads to a deepening of the seedling. Therefore, the pear is planted in autumn in such a way that its root neck, under a slight slope, rises from the general soil level.

Planting a pear in autumn or spring is carried out in an earthen cone so that the base of the roots abuts against its top. This minimizes the number of air voids. After filling the hole, pour plenty of water. The resulting voids are filled up and trampled along the radius from the trunk.
For successful survival, it is necessary to fix the position of the roots so that the seedling does not sway from the wind. Therefore, you must definitely firmly attach it to a deep stake. In order not to accidentally damage the trunk, a garter is made like a figure eight.
