The 21st century is a time of nanotechnology, space research and scientific progress. Everything that surrounds us has made an unprecedented leap in its development. After all, 10 years ago, few could have imagined that you can watch movies with your mobile phone. Now this does not surprise anyone. The Internet is increasingly replacing ordinary reality. Already no one is surprised by earnings on the Web, buying goods and ordering airline tickets online.
In the early 2000s, blogs spread on the Internet. What is noteworthy here is the fact that the information that a person puts out (âBrownie Notesâ, for example) is available to all users. People looking at such sites study the content, discuss and disseminate it.
From a blogger to journalists and writers
Recently, blogs have become so popular that the Russian government, for example, has proposed equating them with the media. Already very important and interesting topics have been touched upon recently at such sites. Moreover, sometimes this or that author puts his life in serious danger, putting âsharpâ information on the Web.
However, often bloggers simply amuse the audience by posting their comic stories, often not very decent content, on the World Wide Web . You can only say about this that âyou wonât throw words out of a song,â and if the author is really talented, his works attract readers (one of them, Notes of the Brownie, is a very funny story). In defense of the most notorious swindlers, we can only say that the great Russian poets Barkov, Pushkin and Lermontov sometimes made such liberties in their poems. And how do you like the phrase of Faina Ranevskaya: âIt is better to be a good person swearing obscenities than a quiet well-educated creatureâ?
But, as a rule, bloggers donât fall completely into the âYamschitsky styleâ, and sharp words that slip through only add smiles. In addition, we all perfectly understand the difference between abusive and exquisite "banter", with the help of which this or that author wants to express his thoughts. Even those users who do not follow such creativity, at least once, rummaging on the Web, found links to the most odious works of this genre: "Masyanya", "Notes of the Shashlyk Cat" or "Notes of the Brownie".
Funny around us
And today we recall the successful "blogger's mock", very popular among young people. Letâs make a reservation right away: it has nothing to do with the book, authored by Osip Senkovsky (âNotes of the Brownieâ). Yes, the name is consonant, but no more. The creation we are considering consists of almost 30 separate parts, presented in the form of a diary of a magical creature who lives in the house of the most ordinary girl.
Each part is conditionally divided into separate days described by Domovoy, the protagonist of this opus. The Brownie has friends and associates for the small dirty tricks that they prepare for their mistress. Moreover, the author tried to reflect the structure of their relationship with all the insults, quarrels and joys of small creatures.
Itâs probably worth noting that the work âNotes of the Brownieâ, all parts of which appear spontaneously, like mushrooms after the rain, is read easily and quickly. By the time this article is published, there may be significantly more âNotesâ. We will consider the first 16, which, according to many readers, are the most successful.
Acquaintance with Brownie
So, what does âBrownie's Notesâ begin with? The first part explains the reasons that prompted the little imp to take up the pen. He steals a notebook from the mistress. At the same time, it becomes clear to the reader that he is not a young creature, but has been living for at least 150 years. Brownie is frankly bored. All his existence in the apartment takes place in the struggle for interesting and new experiences.
It becomes clear that he is very clean, does not like, for example, dirty dishes. So that the conditional âmistressâ living with him doesnât be lazy and conducts the household well, without leaving behind a mountain of unwashed plates, cups, spoons and other cutlery, the Domovoe steals her earrings.
In the course of the story, it turns out that Brownie has a friend - the owner's cat. As you know, these animals see all evil, so both of our heroes are actively having fun. They play together, jump and run. And of course, all this happens at night when the hostess is trying to sleep. Friends make a lot of noise, but the cat traditionally gets it. After all, people do not believe in brownies. It is clear that the cat is quite strongly offended by both the mistress and the Brownie; after all, two participate in games, and one has to puff off. The cat is locked in the pantry, and the Brownie goes to the kitchen and angrily rattles the dishes for a long time. The mistress is in despair.
Moreover, she seeks help from a priest who walks around the apartment with a censer for a long time, expelling evil spirits. However, this only makes Brownie laugh. He is not afraid of priests. Unlike a vacuum cleaner, from which buddies hide under the bed.
Expel evil in any way
Notes of the Brownie, all parts of which tell about everything that happens to the mistress, also tell about the appearance of her boyfriend. The brownie and the cat met the alien not very well. The main character even asked a friend about the dirty tricks associated with damage to the alien's shoes. The cat denied, but then he agreed. As a result, he was again punished and very offended by Brownie, who had only had fun all this time. But the attack did not produce the desired effect. The boyfriend still comes to the chosen one and stays for the night.
Brownie decides to deal with this problem himself and tries to strangle the mistress in a dream. She wakes up in horror and complains to her beloved. The cavalier promises to protect the girl, causing laughter at the Brownie. Expressing his extreme hostility, he attacks a man. This is partly why the hostess once again takes measures to combat evil spirits. This time she turned to psychics. Experts conclude that the spirit of the deceased grandfather settled in the apartment, which causes another Brownie laugh.
Seeing that the visit of psychics did not lead to anything, the mistress decides to make friends with Brownie. To do this, she puts a saucer with milk under the stove, thinking that he is sleeping there. Finally, reconciliation with the cat. For several nights friends hide in a closet. The hostess is confused and is looking for a pet, believing that he escaped.
Moving and groom
Exhausted and saddened girl decides to sell an unsuccessful apartment. Brownie hopes this will not happen. But soon new people are populating, and he becomes bored. Most of all he misses the cat. They are trying to communicate using pigeon mail. Unable to endure boredom and separation anymore, Domovoi contacts his colleague from the new master's apartment. He agrees to the exchange. Soon friends reunite. It is interesting that at first the cat tried not to show much joy, but then said that he too was bored. The coupleâs life again took its normal course.
Meanwhile, the hostess has another bridegroom. Brownie is planning new dirty tricks. While the alien is sleeping, he tries to choke him. The new cavalier does not respond to strangulation and minor troubles, he persistently cares for the girl. Notes of the Brownie (part 9 tells us that the âhahalâ did marry the mistress) is continued by a short note that otherworldly forces also have an allergy. For roses, for example, which the gentleman brings to the house. Once, in despair, Brownie steals the keys to the groomâs car, and he stays overnight. The cat mockingly comments on this case, arguing that his friend does not know how to think strategically.
But business is time, fun is an hour. It is necessary to play hide and seek with a cat. And now he is hiding for real. Now Domovoy is preoccupied with the search. He is very surprised to find a cat in the washing machine, and recognizes even some share of the jokerâs imagination.
Zinaida Zakharovna
After Domovoi accidentally handed over the necessary key to the invited plumber, the hostess again remembered religion. Again the priest came and waved a censer for a long time, pacing around the apartment, which was very amusing "evil spirits." The hostess began to sleep exclusively with the lights on, which Brownie periodically turned off.
One day, the catâs birthday quietly came. Friends very gloriously celebrated this significant date: they rolled on curtains, scattered dishes, drank valerian and in every possible way outrageous.
Life went on as usual, and soon the cat and Domovoi learned that they would have guests. The fact is that the hostess has long been waiting for her mother Zinaida Zakharovna. The brownie met her with âbread and saltâ: immediately he poured bread crumbs into the bed and salt the tea. On top of that, an already forgotten boyfriend came, probably to get acquainted with the future mother-in-law. Even the cat could not stand it and still put it in his boot. For which he was punished in turn by both mother and daughter.
In the evening, during the game, a cork from champagne friends did not notice Zinaida Zakharovna and she, stepping on a cork, hit her head hard on the cupboard. From that moment on, the pranksters decided to call her exclusively Zinedine Zidane. Notes of the Brownie (part 20 already tells us about the imminent marriage of Zinaida Zakharovna) are continued by retelling the outbreak of the âwarâ with the mother of the mistress. Zidane told her daughter that a saucer of milk for a brownie is prejudice; and it disappeared. Brownie took this as a declaration of war. That same night I tried to choke Zinadin, but she only snored harder. Despite all the tricks, the hostessâs mother still didnât leave.
The cat decided to stop eating Kitekat from deep anguish. However, it was only enough for a couple of days. Finally, Zinaida Zakharovna began to gather home. The cat nevertheless fulfilled the secret promise of the Brownie and put it on the galosh, but Zidane did not notice anything; and left. A bowl of milk returned to its place, life gradually began to return to normal.
Dog in the house
Notes Brownie (part 5) continues with the fact that the mistress wants to get a dog. This unexpected news leads the cat into wild confusion. For days, he disappeared into the pantry, training to close it from the inside. The brownie, for laughter, in every way stirs up the fear hidden by the cat.
And then day X came. They brought a dog. The dog turned out to be from the pocket breed. The cat, still in the pantry, wonders at the Brownie what kind of beast there is. A friend from harm says that they brought a wolfhound. The cat, referring to urgent matters, spent the night in the pantry. But you canât hide the sew in the bag, and the sufferer neatly crawled out of the shelter stumbled upon a dog.
Who is scared more is not clear. But under the cries of the Brownie, the cat drove the animal throughout the apartment. A little later, thinking a little, they decided to conclude a truce. The dog, it turns out, was called the Hulk.
The cat, relying on obvious physical superiority, took patronage over the Hulk. He started the army and forces to call himself nothing more than "old-time comrade." The hulk does not mind. In addition, the three of them agreed on a serious hostility to the mistress of the mistress. The dog even somehow bit the groom's legs, for which he received a substantial kick. But the Hulk did not calm down on this: at night he cut the laces of the cavalier; for some reason the punishment went to the cat.
Camping on the street
The time has come for vacations, and the hostess left, taking the Hulk with her and leaving the cat in the care of her neighbor. Notes by Domovoi, part 6 of which begins with a description of the first march of friends on the street, tells how friends hosted the apartment.
Brownie frankly misses due to the lack of objects of constant bullying in the face of the mistress and boyfriend. After thinking, he decides to offer the cat a short trip in the form of a walk into the nearby courtyard. He for a long time resists and comes up with all kinds of excuses, but then curiosity wins, and he agrees.
Going out into the street, both the cat and the Domovoy are amazed at how large the surrounding world turned out to be. How much can you see, getting out of the cramped room of the hostess! But this world turned out to be somewhat hostile. Yard cats stuck to them, and only by a lucky chance did friends manage to avoid bashing. After spending the night on the pipes of the heating main, they return home.
Soon we should expect the arrival of the hostess. Brownie decides to meet her with scattered things, because anyway they will think of a cat. Upon the return of the girl, it turns out that she will soon marry a boyfriend. This is very unnerving for all three equally. A headquarters is being set up to counter the âhahalâ.
Matchmaking, New Year and Wedding
The groom himself does not risk making an offer, knowing that this may end badly. Such an assumption was made in the continuation of the stories "Notes of the Brownie". Part 7 begins with a visit by the matchmakers. But the Resistance movement was ready. The brownie sat at the table next to the hostess and imitated various indecent sounds of
indigestion. The guests were not embarrassed. Then the cat decided to go all-in and scratched his legs. For which, as usual, he was punished. Only the dog Hulk thoughtfully said that it makes no sense to resist external circumstances if they are stronger than you.
It turned out that there was a wedding. The hostess was preparing for her with might and main, and the trinity was expecting the imminent arrival of Zinadin Zidane. The bride brought a wedding dress. All three liked it very much, and the cat even burst into tears of emotion and locked himself in his pantry for a long time.
New Year's turmoil swept everyone. Not only people, but also the heroic trinity were preparing for the holiday. And here is the New Year! The bridegroom came, Domovoi shook a bottle of champagne brought by him , and the cork from him hit the âhahalaâ directly on his forehead. Considering this a good omen, the prudent trinity set off in all the grave concomitant New Year's Eve. It is about this that the notes of Brownie (part 8) narrate in detail. After a couple of days, everyone just as merrily celebrated Christmas with Zinaida Zakharovna, who arrived, and then the old New Year.
But January is a long month. Therefore, the mistress also managed to get married. This did not work out in any way, and Domovoi decided to at least have fun - he put on his bowler hat and went to the restaurant where the wedding was taking place. The most remarkable event was the news of a move to a country house, which the groom built for his family.
Goblin
Notes of the Brownie (part 11) continue with stories about the whole family moving to a new house and getting to know him. Each inhabitant found a place and occupation. So, the intellectual Hulk spends time in front of the fireplace, thinking about everything in the world, the cat settles in the house and catches flies, and the Domovoy restores order and âbuildsâ the owners.
Closer to spring, Brownie receives news with pigeon mail. The letter is anonymous, but it contains an invitation to the âarrowâ with the locals. Taking for the protection of the cat, Brownie goes to the forest. This significant meeting is devoted to a whole chapter in the series âNotes of the Brownieâ. Part 12 offers us new heroes - Leshii and his subordinate animals. Both representatives of evil spirits agree to be friends and not interfere with each other.
On Valentine's Day, Brownie's notes (part 13) touchingly describe the greeting card that the cat signed: "Beloved evil from the animal world." Meanwhile, everyone is waiting for spring. The cat has learned a couple of songs with Brownie and enjoys the arrival on March 1.
Spring fun
The work "Notes of the Brownie", all parts of which are very entertaining, are tied to a calendar. Therefore, they are especially interesting to read. So, on May holidays , the host family organizes a picnic, and Domovoi in his diary suggests renaming this holiday to Shashlychny Spas. The way the townspeople relax in nature causes laughter in real life, but from the point of view of ânonhumansâ itâs just scary!
But the following stories tell us about life outside the city and the possible wedding of Zinaida Zakharovna and the forester Kuzmich. Notes of Brownie (part 20 and several subsequent) tell about the new adventures of restless pranksters.
