In his works, Konstantin Georgievich Paustovsky told us how to love nature, animals. This is not moralizing, the writer simply tells various stories about animals, plants, birds. After reading these works, I want to protect our smaller brothers. We hope that Paustovsky would approve this summary. "Disheveled Sparrow" is an interesting and touching story, and we will try not only to convey the plot of the work, but also to help the reader make sure that a large noble heart can beat in a small body of a bird.
Acquaintance with Masha
Before us is the little girl’s room. The author was able to reliably describe the situation, so the reader can easily mentally move to where the story begins.
The clock on the wall struck 8 times. This iron smith hit his anvil. The story itself and its summary begin with this episode. Paustovsky, disheveled sparrow, Masha - the author’s last name, the names and nicknames of the main characters will be heard quite often in the retelling. But you remember them well.
An hour passed, the blacksmith, who was the size of a toy soldier, hit his anvil 9 times already. It was at nine in the evening that the nanny put the girl Masha to bed. She did not want to go to bed, so she behaved quietly so as not to wake the nanny, dozing on the couch.
Masha stood near the window and thought about her mother, who went to the theater. There the woman worked - she danced. The girl recalled how big the theater was, with columns. Upstairs, on its roof, pig-iron horses tried to stand on their hind legs, but they were held by a man with a wreath on his head. These figures are on the building of the Bolshoi Theater, which means that the girl’s mother served as a ballerina there.
Dad's gift
The work “Disheveled Sparrow” continues with the girl’s memories of her father. Thanks to them, we learn that during the Great Patriotic War he was at the front, served on a ship, bravely fought with enemies.
At this time, Masha’s father was in Kamchatka and was supposed to return only in the spring, and the events of the story take place in the winter.
After 2 days, the girl’s mother was to play Cinderella. My daughter had never been to the Bolshoi Theater, but the woman promised to take her to the premiere.
Recently, a mother took out a small bouquet made of glass from a chest. Her husband brought this brooch as a gift to his wife from a distant country. He wanted her beloved woman to pin a souvenir on a beautiful Cinderella dress, when the heroine of the fairy tale would dance in the palace.
Mom put the brooch on the table and strictly ordered her daughter not to touch her. The girl was obedient and looked at a beautiful little thing only from afar.
It would be interesting to know how Paustovsky would write a summary. "Disheveled Sparrow" is a story not only about this bird, but also about the people with whom its fate has connected. Therefore, the author, retelling his work, would also surely introduce the interlocutor to the girl Masha and her parents, and talk about a glass bouquet, which plays an important role in the plot.
Thief
In addition to the goodies, there are negative ones in the tale. There are not many of them - just one crow, but even she caused a lot of trouble not only to people, but also to a little sparrow.
In the meantime, let’s get back to the moment when Masha is standing near the window and looking through it at the street. She saw a gray-haired crow, she also looked at the girl. It turns out that the bird knew the daily routine of people. Nanny Petrovna always aired the room at night, so she opened the window. While she took the girl to wash, a cunning bird penetrated the room and quickly took what is bad. Wet footprints and missing things eloquently said that an uninvited guest had visited the room.
When Petrovna returned, she saw the traces of the crow's stay, and she and Masha began to search, which this time was stolen by the thief. While she took only pieces of sausage, sugar, cookies. The bird hid these supplies in an abandoned stall in which was its den. In the cold, food froze and could be stored for a long time, so hunger was not threatened by crow.
The reader will then be introduced to the noble hero of the work by a brief summary.
Paustovsky, "Disheveled Sparrow": the brave Pashka
Thus the crow provided itself with edible reserves. But sparrows were sometimes forced to starve. People used to ride horses. Near these animals one could enjoy oats, so it was easier for the birds to survive the cold winter. But now the vehicles have become different - people drove cars, buses, so the sparrows had a very difficult winter.
It is not surprising that a feeling of hunger brought a sparrow named Pashka to the stall. He did not even have time to swallow a crumb of bread, when he was immediately caught by a crow. She was bigger and stronger than him and hit Pasha with her beak on the head. But the sparrow was smart, he pretended to be dead, otherwise an evil bird would simply have finished him off.
And so the crow threw Pashka out of his house. He fell in the snow, but remained alive. This is the story Paustovsky wrote. A disheveled sparrow lay barely alive in the snow - he was ill, his head ached very much after being hit by a raven's beak. But the poor fellow was lucky, the policeman came up to the stall and saved him by putting him in a warm mitten and taking it with him.
Pashka finds home
On that day, Petrovna and Masha walked near the stall. A policeman went up to the girl and asked if she needed a bird. She answered in the affirmative.
The girl was very caring. At home, she invited the bird to feathers, fed, watered the poor fellow. So the disheveled sparrow remained to live in a warm house. Review of his savior Pashka could leave the best, of course, if he could write. But the little bird was trying to come up with more suitable ways to thank her savior.
Pashka was not in the house all the time. When he wanted, he flew away, but then returned with gifts. Sparrow decided to restore justice and quietly took away from the crow what she stole. He brought Pasha to the girl’s house. But she was not happy about the dried caterpillar, candy wrapper, stale piece of cake.
However, soon the sparrow was able to bring what Masha and her mother were very happy.
Treasured bouquet
When, once again, the nanny opened the window for ventilation, the crow stole a little thing priceless for the family - glass flowers. Seeing the loss, mom and Masha cried. The ballerina left for the theater in a depressed mood.
Then Pashka assembled a team of sparrows, and they with difficulty, but were able to take the bunch from the thief.
At this time, the nanny and Masha watched Cinderella dancing beautifully. But she was very sad. And at that moment a sparrow appeared under the ceiling, which was holding something in its beak. It was that same bouquet. Pasha opened the beak and the treasured brooch fell right in the palm of the ballerina. Mom pinned a bouquet on a dress and became the happiest. On such a happy note, Paustovsky ends his story.
Disheveled sparrow, the main characters, people - Masha, mother, policeman - evoke only positive emotions in the reader. The girl and the policeman saved Pashka, and in response he made the girl’s family happy.
