These mysterious euphorbia flowers

In general, euphorbia flowers are simply a huge family, which includes about two thousand species. The birthplace of these plants is America, Africa and the island of Madagascar. Among this diversity there are such huge representatives that it is impossible to grow at home. But those plants that fall into apartments deservedly enjoy the love of their owners. Indeed, euphorbia flowers are the most real long-livers, for many years they have not lost their attractiveness.

The name of this succulent representative is interesting. If any of the plants belonging to this very large family is broken, then a whitish liquid, similar to milk, will appear on the scraper. But you should not even try to try it, because it is poisonous, and if it gets on the mucous membrane, it causes quite serious burns.

One of the most beautiful representatives of this large family is the most beautiful euphorbia, which for its beauty is called the Star of Bethlehem. Usually it blooms very colorful on Catholic Christmas. This plant has large, bright green leaves, and under the inflorescences are either bright red, or pink, or white leaves, which give the plant an amazing look. But the flowers themselves, compared with luxurious leaves, are inconspicuous, and they are not even always paid attention to. The finest euphorbia needs bright sunlight, but the truth is in the summer, in the hottest months, it requires dimming. And in the hot season, this plant must be constantly sprayed.

Another representative of the succulent family is poisonous euphorbia. This is a rather thorny, small, irregularly shaped shrub. This plant is widespread in such African countries as Angola, Namibia and South Africa. Judging by the name, just like all the milkweed, its juice is poisonous. But, oddly enough, after this juice dries, it can be used to feed livestock. Its use is especially effective during drought. But poisonous euphorbia is also a medicinal plant, known to mankind for several millennia. So, ancient healers attributed laxatives, diuretics, diaphoretic, anthelmintic, vomiting, analgesics, anti-inflammatory and distracting properties to milk of milk. In ancient times, this juice was used for edema, ulcers, nonhealing for a long time, as well as paralysis.

In fact, euphorbia flowers are not so omnipotent, but even today their juice is used to remove warts, discolor freckles and age spots, corns. In addition, with long-term non-healing ulcers, you can also use the juice of this plant.

Most often euphorbia is found in the southern parts of our country. It can be in the form of small plants, shrubs, or even trees. Flowers are usually located at the very top. They are collected in inflorescences, each of which contains ten male flowers and one female. Euphorbia blooms usually in June-August.

At home, euphorbia flowers are grown and not all bloom. So, for example, such representatives of this family as euphorbia Mil or beautiful euphorbia bloom. But euphorbia large-leaved or Tirukalli is almost impossible to see blooming at home.

Propagation of plants of the euphorbia family is carried out using cuttings. But, before planting, the cuttings must be dried. And in order for the slices on the mother plant not to destroy him, it is necessary to sprinkle these places with ash. Euphorbia plants are resistant to drought and dry air, but love to be sprayed with water. But in winter, these plants should be watered quite rarely, about once a month.
