Almost always, skill and ingredients are required to create things. However, stalgrim armor is something that will require special knowledge. They will appear only after completing a certain quest chain. In order to learn how to forge weapons and armor from such material, you will need to complete the quest “The Fate of Skaals” and come in a few days. It is necessary to return to their village and eavesdrop on the dialogue of Deoro Drovoseka and Fanari Strong voice. Then, after talking with the lumberjack, the player finds out that the village blacksmith has disappeared and will offer a task to find him. Completing such a quest chain will make it possible to forge stalgrim armor.
How to get?
To mine any ore in Skyrim, a pickaxe is required. It is universal and suitable for any core. Since stalgrim is not so much ore as special magical ice, it is impossible to split it with an ordinary pickaxe. The ice is apparently very ancient. So much so that only an ancient Nordic pickaxe can handle it.
Fortunately, in order to forge stalgrim armor in Skyrim, it does not require a special forge or magic blacksmith. Having obtained all the necessary materials, you can safely go even to Heaven, even to the usual forge.
Forging requires a blacksmithing skill that would allow forging Ebony armor and weapons. In other words, following the steel makeup at the very beginning of the game does not make sense.
How much ore from one core?
In Skyrim, as in many other RPG games of the genre, material is extracted from the source in a certain amount. From each core it is possible to extract only three units of stalgrim ore. This adds value to her. It is also possible to purchase it from a blacksmith in the village of Skaalov at an insane cost.
