To prevent this from happening, allot enough space for it in advance.
Knowing where your staircase will be, start the calculation by determining its type. If this is a single-march staircase without any frills, then the angle of inclination and the size of the future kosour are important here. The number of steps is considered from the main indicators. The riser height, based on the recommendations of various building codes, should not exceed 20 cm. A minimum size of less than 14 cm is also undesirable.
Usually the step length of a person of average height is between 60 cm and 64 cm. The width of the step should completely fit the leg. Making it smaller than 20 cm is not recommended, this will create inconvenience when walking.
The height of the step is determined by the convenience of lifting the leg, usually this value does not exceed half the length of the step. For the final calculation, you can take directly your sizes. Then you will get a ladder, the calculation of which will fully correspond to your optimal numbers.
Having determined the location of the stairs and the height by which it must be raised, we begin to calculate the remaining parameters. We measure the length of the platform that you took under the stairs with a tape measure, so that you can use ordinary mathematics. Knowing the length of the march, we determine the number of steps using the riser height of 16 cm. We refine this figure using the available information. So, so that the staircase, which we will calculate, is convenient, we take the averaged values as the basis. The height of the finished product is 320 cm. We take the length of the opening, which we can take into account in the formula, equal to 350 cm. Now we determine the number of steps: K = 320/16 = 20.
The first step is considered to be the floor line on the first floor, so we do not take it into account in these calculations. We get 19 steps. Now we determine the length of the kosour. For this we use the school formula of Pythagoras. We have two numbers, it remains to determine the inclined. Having done a number of arithmetic operations, we get the estimated length equal to 472.4 cm. We take the length of the march equal to 475 cm.
The next step helps calculate the width of the steps. According to our data, we have 25 cm. We check the results using formulas that ensure safety and convenience. The results obtained do not fit into these formulas, which means that it is necessary to change them in order to comply with all requirements. This will be the size of the riser, equal to 18 cm.
K = 320/18 = 18 - 1 = 17 steps.
L = 475/17 = 28 cm.
28 + 18 = 46 cm.
28 -18 = 10 cm.
