Reinforcement knitting is required in order to assemble the box for the future reinforced concrete structure - the foundation of the house or its solid walls and floors. The rods are connected to each other in those places where they are crossed by means of a special metal knitting wire with a diameter of 0.8-1.2 mm, supplied in coils. For this procedure, a hook for knitting reinforcement is traditionally used.
Process features
Knitting wire is used to connect crossed rods. Its ends then need to be twisted using pliers, which allows you to tighten the connection. Hook device
The simplest hook for knitting reinforcement, the price of which starts at 500 rubles, is a metal rod, curved at the end in the shape of a hook, which provides the convenience of gripping the loop. The elongated rod allows, in conjunction with the bearing in the handle, to produce the most rapid rotation, due to this the loop is tightened, fastening the rods.
The screw hook for knitting reinforcement has a slightly different design. This is already a mechanized version of the traditional fixture. It has a similar principle of operation: loop tightening occurs due to the rotation of the tip. However, there is a difference in that the rotation is transmitted to the tip by means of a worm gear during the translational movement of the handle up and down. Knitting with this option is much faster, but the cost of this device is higher, so buying it will be advisable only with a significant amount of work.
Sometimes a hook for knitting reinforcement turns out to be an ineffective solution, for example, when building a large object consisting of monolithic concrete. In this case, the amount of work is very large. For such situations, you can use a special knitting gun, which is designed in such a way as to make one connection per second.
