The centuries-old construction site in the center of Tver, which, as everyone already thought, would never be completed, still several years ago, finally stopped. All construction work has ended, and the "glass", as the locals call the building for its shape, has turned into a modern Tver business center.
Background
A long time ago, back in the last century, namely in 1977, the construction of a miracle building began in Tver. They cost it for the XXII Moscow Olympic Games, they planned to use it as a hotel, but they did not finish it. Did not have time.
Then a crisis struck, and they could forget about the building, but its impressive size did not allow it. Among the tveriches about the "shot glass", as the 77-meter hulk was called, legends formed. It was rumored that it was unstable due to its unusual design and was about to collapse.
The building stood solid, but nobody needed it. All internal structures are hopelessly outdated, and remaking anything was difficult and expensive. The reason for this was an unusual form of structure.
In 2007, work began again in the building. He was surrounded by a fence. The area around the building was ennobled. Near the "glass" appeared lawns, flower beds and parking.
Modern business center "Tver"
Tver "glass" has stood the test of time, crisis and perestroika. Now it has become one of the city’s most popular buildings, known as the Tver Business Center.
In addition to offices on 22 floors of the building there are cafes, the Panorama cinema and concert hall, the hotel and restaurant of the same name. An observation deck has opened on the roof of the building.
Concert Hall "Panorama"
The business center "Tver" has a large, but at the same time comfortable hall. Here are film shows and concerts. The hall can accommodate up to 500 people. Comfortable chairs are arranged in tiers, so the stage and screen will be perfectly visible from anywhere.
In the foyer in front of the hall there is a cafe with sofas and tables - a place quite pleasant for communication. At first glance, the cafe is small, but behind the first hall there is a balcony, built around the inside perimeter of the building. There are also tables. Behind the glass wall offers stunning views of the city, on the other hand - in the lobby on the ground floor, where various events are often held. It can be concerts, dance evenings, and all kinds of festivals.
A restaurant
It has a business center "Tver" restaurant, which, like the cinema, is called "Panorama". It is located on the 22nd floor, from where visitors can enjoy city views thanks to panoramic windows. Comfortable soft armchairs, wide tables, and beautiful furniture make it possible to hold various celebrations here, whether it’s a wedding, anniversary or corporate event.
The restaurant is unusual in that a large hall that seats up to 160 people can be divided into three relatively small areas with the help of special designs.
There is also a VIP-room Catherine’s in the Panorama, designed for only 16 visitors. Those who get here may well feel like royal people. Indeed, luxurious furnishings and high-quality service are at their disposal.
Another room is for karaoke fans. The most modern equipment is installed here. The collection of foreign and Russian songs is systematically updated. A professional sound engineer is constantly working in the hall, always ready to help visitors.
Hotel
There is a hotel in the Tver business center, which is located on the 17–19th floors of the building. Here you can rent a superior standard room, suite and junior suite. All rooms have an individual layout and are comfortable.
Observation deck
On the 24th floor of the Tver business center there is an observation platform, from where the city is visible at a glance.
Anyone can visit her. Entrance for guests of the restaurant and hotel is free. For the rest, a half-hour visit to the observation deck will cost 200 rubles. You must have an identity document with you. You can pay for a visit to Panorama on the ground floor of the business center. From there, a guard guides you to the observation deck.
