Undersized varieties of tomatoes

In the vastness of Russia, in which there are many climatic zones, residents of the southern regions can grow tomatoes in open ground. However, if we want to get an excellent tomato crop in the Non-Chernozem region and in areas of risky farming, then we can not do without greenhouses, greenhouses, temporary shelters from the film and tunnels. It is here that various errors are made when the so-called most productive low-growing varieties of tomatoes are selected. Before you buy a bag of seeds, study in detail the description of the selected variety and specify how suitable it is for growing in your region.

Before you plant something, decide what exactly you need. If you want to get the crop faster, it is recommended to purchase seeds of early species, better than hybrids, since hybrids have better germination, they are more hardy, and therefore more resistant to diseases, they give the crop more friendly, but they are somewhat more expensive, as well as and undersized varieties of apple trees. In addition, it is not possible to take seeds from hybrids for the next sowing, since they do not pass on parental properties by inheritance, and besides, their seeds are often underdeveloped. The best seedlings are obtained from the seeds of last summer, you can also plant low marigolds, the varieties of which are now widely available on the market.

If you do not have high greenhouses, then you need low-growing varieties of tomatoes - usually ultra-determinant, whose growth is very limited. Such can be varieties and hybrids. In similar tomatoes, 2-3 brushes of flowers appear on the main stem, and this is where their growth ends. In this regard, they are not stepson, since the main crop is removed from the stepsons. The very first brush of flowers appears after the 6th leaf. Then, after 1-2 leaves appear, they grow new flower brushes. Most often, the fruits of these types of tomatoes are medium or small, in the seed chambers they have a lot of juice. These tomatoes ripen in 90–100 days. Typically, the crop ripens before the appearance of late blight on tomatoes.

Early undersized varieties of tomatoes often have fruits that are not even in size, there are larger and smaller ones in one bunch. Hybrids have more aligned fruits.
