Tomsk Region is located on the West Siberian Plain, rich in natural resources and with inaccessible lands, under which about 30% of the region’s territory is occupied. There are almost 13 thousand lakes in the region, which occupy 4 451 square kilometers. Different sources indicate a different number of water bodies, so it’s rather difficult to say how accurate this figure is. Most of these lakes are located in floodplains, and some of them have the status of natural monuments.
Thresh
This is one of the largest bodies of water located on the Vasyugan plain. Its area is 53 thousand square meters. km To estimate the size of the lake, you can simply imagine the size of Switzerland. The pond is famous for fish, or rather, individuals of huge sizes. Here you can catch a pike weighing 5 kilograms and a two-kilogram perch. Peaceful
This is another rather large lake in the Tomsk region. It is located 40 kilometers from the village of Pudino. Under it, 18.3 square meters are occupied. km It is believed that the reservoir formed over five and a half thousand years ago. The depth of the lake is from 2 to 4 meters. It is located between the two rivers Chuzyk and Chizhapka, on the Vasyugan plain.
Around the lake there are only taiga forests and swamps, so people who live nearby often come here to relax. There is good fishing (burbot, perch, pike). In the winter season, it is almost impossible to reach the lake without special transport.
Big
Bolshoye Lake in the Tomsk Region is famous for the extraordinary beauty of the pine forests surrounding it and good fishing (pike, perch, chebak). There is a recreation center called "Hardikova Zaimka". Fishing is paid, but the prices are quite reasonable. There is even a house in which you can stay for free.
The lake is located at the intersection of Kemerovo, Tomsk and Novosibirsk regions, not far from the Tomsk nature reserve.
Kirek

Lakes within the city of Tomsk
