Dmitry Sholokhov, whose biography is unremarkable, is one of those who clearly understands his life mission.
The famous American designer is of Belarusian origin. He became the winner of the popular reality show Project Podium thanks to his talent and a subtle sense of style of the modern fashion era.

Dmitry Sholokhov is a designer and artist who was born in the small town of Novopolotsk (Belarus). He dedicated his youth to ballroom dancing. By the way, even then he independently drew, and then sewed stage costumes for himself and his partner.
Dmitry's father was a talented artist, so Sholokhov’s dream was to realize himself in design art. Nevertheless, he graduated from the historical and philological faculty at one of the local universities and, thanks to the student project Work & Travel, first went to the United States of America.
A little later, Dmitry Sholokhov became a student of the famous Parsons school, and the internship took place not elsewhere, but in Calvin Klein, Domenico Vacca and J. Mendel. All this allowed him to develop creative abilities and skill. In 2011, the guy took part in the famous TV show Project Runway. Dmitry Sholokhov fought for victory with 16 young designers.

For several years now, many viewers have been watching with great interest how events are developing on the popular “Project Podium” on the Lifetime channel. The very idea of the show is original and even brilliant! Between 20 very talented designers, there is a fierce struggle for victory and obtaining a material prize. From competition to competition, they are trying to demonstrate to their viewers unsurpassed skill and talent. At the end of the project, judges (designer Michael Kors and fashion journalist and fashion critic Nina Garcia) choose the winner based on whose final collection was the most unique, interesting, vibrant and successful.
At the beginning of the program, the young man was in the shade, almost no one noticed him, perhaps did not even take him seriously. Indeed, one of many. However, this did not affect his brilliant victory. The young designer was able to demonstrate his skills in all its glory and prove that he deserves to become a winner. Dmitry Sholokhov came to the project with a specific goal and followed it throughout the competition. Of course, there were some nerves. The young man lost about 8 kg during the competition.

- I understand perfectly well that half of the project I was in the shade, and neither the participants nor the jury noticed me at all. The fact is that I am a person who does not try to pull a blanket over himself and does not try to attract all the attention to himself. The project brought together very bright, interesting and rather extraordinary personalities. A lot of meaningless actions and conversations took place. I came here with a specific goal, so I preferred never to interfere in squabbles and conflicts. When there are a lot of bright birds around that constantly make noise, of course, all attention will be concentrated only on them. However, over time, they fly out of the project. Then really serious people remain who know what they want and why they came to the program.

At the moment, Dmitry is in fruitful cooperation with the famous Belarusian company O.Jen. Refined, elegant, original style, unsurpassed harmony of forms, a sense of beauty, the highest quality of fabrics used in combination with the latest fashion trends - this is how you can characterize the brand’s clothes. And it should be noted that the young man is quite coping with his duties. However, it is not surprising.

Dmitry manages to remarkably combine the highest quality fabrics of various textures. Among his favorite materials are leather, wool and knitwear. As a rule, the color scheme is monochrome: gray, black, white, metallic, a little lemon and dark blue. All this makes his models original and unique.
Finally, we’ll give a couple of phrases of Dmitry regarding such an important segment of his life as participation in the Project Runway show. He never doubted that he would be a winner. With faith in his own strength, he fell asleep daily and woke up. However, as already noted, the guy constantly thought that the project judges very much underestimated him. That is why when he won, it was a double victory: both in the project and over his own doubts. “The Podium contest was a real test for the participants in every sense. Therefore, I feel especially proud for my victory and for being able to become the best, ”Dmitry Sholokhov said in an interview with Daily News.
