Clematis is a flowering perennial creeper for the garden, which are some of the most beautiful. On the other hand, they are quite finicky and require a lot of attention. Moreover, do not forget about the constant pruning and watering.
Very often, domestic gardeners choose perennial vines such as grapes. One of the most popular varieties among us is the five-leaf maiden. It is quite unpretentious and reaches 18 meters in length. Young leaves are initially red, but eventually acquire a purple color. Amur grapes grow to 6 meters. Usually it is planted only to decorate the site, because its fruits are quite acidic.
Separate words deserve perennial vines, which develop well in the shade. The most common of them are common ivy, petiole hydrangea and Chinese magnolia vine. The first of these plants is quite unpretentious and can reach twenty meters in length. It has leathery dark green leaves and does not tolerate only severe frosts. The second species grows in height no more than 6 meters. The plant is decorated with large green leaves, acquiring a bright yellow color in autumn. In the middle of summer, its flowering period falls - at this time there are many white flowers that are collected in large shields. Schisandra chinensis, in addition to its aesthetic characteristics, also boasts healing properties and gives an annual growth of one meter.
Perennial creepers, regardless of variety, are best planted in early spring. Along with this, many of the gardeners often propagate them with seeds. Given that this process is too long in time, it is recommended to use a method such as cuttings.
