New Year is a holiday loved not only by children but also by adults. It creates a special atmosphere of miracle, joy, that which is amazing here, very close to us.
Tail, ears and carrots - a little hare got out of a mink ...
Just a reservation: a hare costume can be made for both children and adults. First, let's talk about the option for kids.
The costume consists of overalls, ponytails, ears and carrots. The jumpsuit is of course white. Although, if you allow the imagination to take over, it can be sewn and pinkish, and in blue tones, and the color of coffee with milk - which fabric you choose. You can even sew a hare costume even from old bedding by decorating it with sparkles of confetti, embroidering it with a thin sparkling “rain” and decorating it with lush Christmas tinsel. And if there is silk or satin, velor or velvet, plush, then the hare “outfit” will turn out to be completely chic!
Overalls do one-piece. You can sew a hood on it, then the head of the "bunny" will also be white. Get faux fur in light colors - if not pure white, then delicate, pastel. They should sew the cuffs of the outfit, sew a strip of fur as a collar. We make a fur edging in the presence of a hood. Here is a hare costume almost ready. The closure is done in front. In its quality, a long snake or snag-buttons are sewn. A number of small white buttons will do. Check that the child was easy to put on, and in the outfit he felt comfortable.
Now the ears. They are sewn separately, bilateral. Pink inside and white outside. The outer one can be made of fur. Your hare costume may be with erect ears or hanging. In both cases, they need to be filled a little with padding polyester or cotton wool to keep their shape. When standing inside, a special gasket is sewn. Then they are attached to the hood. As a decorative element (a tribute to the New Year), we trim the ears with a curly “rain”. In the case when the outfit is without a hood, they can be sewn to a hairpin, which is pre-wound with white cloth.
Shoes, of course, are desirable in tone with all clothing. Sneakers, sneakers, shoes, boots are suitable ... If the latter with a furry edge - great. If not, it doesn’t matter. Just make the jumpsuit trousers long enough so that the shoes are almost hidden. And the peeking ends can simply be sealed with white paper using adhesive tape.
Tail. Make it easy. A small oval bag is sewn of fur, stuffed with cotton and sewn where it follows. Let him hang funny while walking - this makes the suit look more touching.
So, our carnival costume of the hare is almost ready. The case for carrots and "rabbit" muzzle. You can use a real carrot, just choose a bigger one, and stick a green "rain" as a top leaf. Or plan out a piece of wood, glue it from paper and paint it. "Rain" - the remainder.
"Muzzle" - we draw it right on the face of the child. Suitable black cosmetic pencil for eyebrows, eyeliner, blush and eye shadow. Practice and you will get a very charming bunny!
Some clarifications
Such a suit is universal - it is equally suitable for both a boy and a girl. Its options - if there is a fluffy little white hat or a white cap, a baseball cap, then the ears are attached to it. For a girl, a white skirt is suitable instead of a jumpsuit.
A costume of a hare for adults is very similar to a children's one. It is possible to change some details - a short skirt with a fur trim, high boots, also trimmed with fur, this is a female version. White tuxedo and trousers, hare mask - male.
