In the game "The Witcher 1", the monsters did not differ in variety. In the last part, the player will face a large number of opponents, each of whom needs his own approach. Despite the greatly simplified combat and the general low level of complexity, gamers can simplify their lives even more by following the following tips for fighting monsters. The article will use abbreviations to denote additions: "Blood and Wine" - KiV, "Stone Hearts" - KS.

Demon fight

Ogres

Not the most common opponents the witcher will have to deal with. Monsters of this type are found mainly on assignments.

  1. Nakery. Residents of caves, sometimes coming to the surface. Run by companies on 5-6 bodies. They attack from an attack, but are no longer capable of anything. Vulnerable to Igney.
  2. Giants, cyclops. They attack from the start, stomp, wave their hands. Strong and wide attacks. Saves the β€œQuen” and waiting for the moment of attack.

Damned

They are very rare in the game and it is not always clear who the player is dealing with.

  2. Berserkers. Meet on Skellig in the shape of a bear at a feast at the Crash.
  3. Archespore (KiV). A plant spitting acid. Damage is low. To win, you need to approach with rifts or evasion (ALT).

Corpse eaters

The most common monsters in The Witcher 3. They can be found in all corners of the world.

  1. Drowned man. Lives near ponds. Under water is destroyed with one or two shots. It burns well from "Igney".
  2. Ghouls. The eaters were falling. There are 3-4 individuals. Burn well.
  3. Algul. Able to release spikes from the back that reflect damage. Calms down from the "Axia".
  4. Water, cemetery woman. Throws mud (blinds). The first can move under water, the second stings with a poisonous tongue. Igney and Quen completely suppress them.
  5. Foulbroods. They look like utopits, but explode before death. Better to finish from afar with the help of bombs or burn "Igney".

Vampires

To win, the player will have to use the Black Blood oil and elixir. Of the signs, "Quen", reinforced by repulsion, or "Yrden" is useful.

Hybrids

Creatures resulting from crossbreeding. And usually a person with an animal.

  1. Harpy, Erinia. Attack from the air. You can shoot down with a crossbow and finish off. Having caught it, it’s easy to set fire to Igney or use Aard. Against the loners come down and "Axius".
  2. Siren. They live near the water. Tactics are similar to harpies. If possible, it is better to dive under water. Monsters dive behind Geralt and they can be killed with one or two shots from a crossbow.
  3. Griffins. Attack from a raid. On the ground, they can make a jerk forward or strike with a wing. Able to use scream to stun. It bleeds. Against him it is worth using Quen, quick attacks and a crossbow to bring down to the ground. Combining attacks and evasion, you can safely kill a monster 10-15 levels above the character.
  4. Succubus. There are only two individuals in the game that you have to deal with. They use fire magic with great speed, so it’s worth settling the world. When deciding to fight, you can use Axius and the sword with a stun bonus.
Midday quest

Draconids

All-flying monsters with abilities like a griffin. The witcher is able to shoot them down from a crossbow and this will become the main tactic. Geralt must dodge acid spitting, use Quen, and force the monsters to land. After just chopping them off with quick attacks from the back.

  1. Kurolisk and basilisk. Spit acid in flight.
  2. Wyvern.
  3. Willowtail.
  4. Raptor (KiV). Breathes fire, standing on the ground.

Perfume

Ghosts and everyone who looks like them.

  1. Ghost. Armed with a sword. The attack begins with teleportation and goes into a series of attacks with a blade. At the time of the attack, it becomes almost invulnerable (95% of the damage is cut).
  2. Midday, Midnight. Invulnerable to attacks until they hit the "Yarden" sign. Able to stun the witcher and split into several weak copies. The subspecies "The Maiden" can release a swarm of insects on Geralt.
  3. Bargest (KiV). A ghost dog with all the abilities of the living.

The tactics of struggle are elementary. The witcher must slow down the ghosts of the Yarden and hack with all his might.

Elemental Spirits

Very powerful creatures with strong defense.

  1. Gargoyle. Throws suggestive stones, spits acid. Stomp in melee is able to throw back and inflict a lot of damage. Saves the "Quen" and the immobility of the monster during the eruption of fluid.
  2. Golems and elementals. They have strong protection and block. Despite a variety of attacks, they are not dangerous. It’s also enough to use the Quen rollback.
  3. Genie. The most dangerous opponent in the game. In the mode "To death" and "Level increase" kills with one spell. You need to use Quen and skills that increase health.
Prince toad

Insectoid

Distant relatives of ants and butterflies, but also monsters. The witcher destroys their hordes, but they will not stop climbing until the very end of the game.

  1. Endriages and Kikimors (KiV). Small and weak. They differ in types, but they do not cause problems in the game. Vulnerable to Igney.
  2. Glavoglazy. Have a strong block. Some spew a poisonous cloud, some jump. Dangerous only with a large difference in levels.
  3. Scolopendras (KiV). They crawl out from under the ground and spit acid. They can put a block that goes into a counterattack. Damage is low, but you have to run.
  4. Arachnomorph (COP). Spiders spitting from afar with a cobweb. If the witcher entangles, run up and bite, or attack from the back. You can use the "Aksy" and run up, or with the help of "Igney" set fire to run up.

Relics

The rarest and oldest creatures in the game. But you can meet more often the same succubi or vampires with whom you can negotiate.

  1. Goblin. It has different skills depending on the level. Teleports, calls animals. At medium range, it attacks from the ground. Like any "firewood" burns well.
  2. The devil and the devil. Attacks are similar to giants. The unique ability allows you to disorient the witcher, but the player can still do damage blindly.
  3. Charlie. Reminds an armadillo. Invulnerable from the back. It can arrange a rockfall or crush, turning into a ball. The Tuff Monster in The Witcher is a prime example. It burns well if you use Igney in the face.
